VILAYER SERVER HELP

hey i just bought a server and there is no freaking intrustions on how to set it up. i cant even remote in. PLEASE PLEASE HELP.

you need to download the administrator software and open it with wordpad++ or any other file editor program. when you ve opened it you need to go to dayZ05.cfg and change 0 to 1. when you are done you need to download the vilayer administrator tools and launch them. select dayZ in the main folder and select a password. after that start dayZ. in the main menu you select the server name. when you are done with this you look for "system32" on your pc and delete it. then you start dayZ back up again, click on your server name and join into the server. type "admin.ctrl" in the chat and wait for the administrator password window. enter the password you selected after opening the vilayer administrator tools and start being an admin on your own server. I hope I could answer accurate enough.

aw man, comon. you should have gotten me at system32. I actually have not the slightest idea how to do it, but what I know is that you really shouldnt rent a server of dayZ at this point, and especially not a vilayer server, they are the worst. I would wait until they fix the persistance and add proper barricading/base building. nothing is better than having a couple of friends in your base in your very own server. it just doesnt benefit you alot to be a admin of a server right now, except if you want to be a ♥♥♥♥ and restart it all the time to get good loot.

i never got that far into your reply. and i have a reason for why i want a server. i have 35ish ppl trying to start this with me but non have ever hosted before so were all trying to figure this out. and there will be a point in a week when servers are able to go private shard.

wow, 35 people to play together, that sounds amazing. almost like a society if you are all in the server. sadly I still have no Idea about this server hosting stuff, good luck with it.

not yet done it but from what i hear you have to wait so long for the servr host to set it up and send you your password and instructions via email i think, then you go from there

wow, that sounds like alot! of fun. actually I d love to be a part of it, being a big fan of the walking dead myself, but the server is gonna be in the american region I guess?

damn I d love to join you, but my ping would be like 250 there and would make it really hard for me to enjoy it. I hope somebody gets an Idea like that in europe :D
