Yes, you can use the frying pan to cook meat, (in v 0.57 fruits and vegies) but I have no idea why you need to add water to the pan.

What a silly question, lol

drag a filled water bottle or canteen filled with water over your skiller/cooking pot.

unless your food item you are trying to cook turns red, it is not cooking, and if you don't add water in a skillet/cooking pot it wont start cooking, at least thats how it used to be.

You cant just fill a skillet/cooking pot at a water source or a pump, you need the container to empty into it.

Seemingly a lot of people don't know about this step in cooking with a cooking pot/skillet, if you throw in food without water it will never start to cook, if you throw it direclty on a fireplace without being stuck on an ashwood stick (.57), or in a cooking pot/skillet, it goes from uncooked to burned with no inbetween. So yeah, there you go.

Only took me 500 hours of gameplay to look it up and bother cooking something with a cooking pot/skillet. The new sticks are nice.

this is for "advanced" cooking, you need nails and an hammer to "fix" your steak in the pan..
