Found three Heli crashes today...but.

Today I found three Helicrash sites.On two crashes was fresh loot.No Player was before there but I have found only 5 Mags and 1 optic in the two crashes.....no M4 D:.
Have I badluck or what.??? Is that normal?

There is not an M4 every time.

I found a russian chopper last week after a fresh server start and there was only a pink raincoat.

M4 is not a guarantee drop. Me and a friend been looking for a heli crash since Friday, still haven't found anything and we been doing loops around nwaf..

try the loop from around NWAF down to Zelenogorsk - lots of possible crash sites

same here!...im wondering if this is a new bug,as ive been searching nearly a week and havent been able to find one...its strange because ive found about 15-20 heli crashes and not seen one M4,found everything else you'd expect at heli crashes though.

i was thinking that they became less rare after the update,since ive found about 3 (soon after the 0.53 update)..but nothing lately

I think there is too many factors working against the heli crashes, so not only are there only 3 per server and the sites are random (between their allocated spawn areas)
Then the loot on the choppers are Random also taking into account the M4, the Smersh vest and the other rare items may not spawn due to them having a rare loot calculation so they do not spawn.

I can understand that in the long run they need to be this way but it becomes difficult to test anything in the alpha if it doesn't spawn.

Now I say this knowing the M4 was the first gun in the game so I do not care about that but it would be nice to see the new M65 jacket or the Smersh vest but because they are now the rarest of the rare and also brand new it is like they haven't been even put in the game.

I would be happy with monthly character wipes just so I can see some of the new items first hand then the following month after they were added make them rare etc...

Me too. It would also break loose some of the players that get OCD about protecting their toon and its loot (that's a confession of sorts). Revitalize the "social" part of this alpha.

I've found 6 helis with nothing but raincoats and maybe sometimes an m4 mag, it's ok your not alone. I think they should make it where a heli crash site is a garenteed m4 drop or maybe make it where an m4 has a 5% chance of spawning in military barracks or something so it's not exremely rare.

I'd make the m4 a lil bit less rare than the military tent...:P and have a buff on the percentage for heli crashes.

If you join a persistance off server you head up to the airfield and you can get heli crashes and i just found an aug today.

I had fun yesterday. I spawned in my pants near to Vybor (you know the place) and found a Longhorn. I decided to go to the military base and in the field next to it was a heli crash. As it was a sunny, bright day, you could see it for miles. As I approached from a field away, two players in a truck raced across to it and thought their luck was in. Now I don't KoS but I'd ran a long way for that crash site and saw it first. I pinged some lonmg range shots off the metal fuselage and their truck. The two fully geared players ran around like legless chickens and drove off. I fully anticipated they would flank me and attack me at the site but they didn't return. They hadn't got to the military base either, so it was fun times for me and nobody had to die.

How do you know nobody got there before you? server hopping on recent restarted servers is the only way you can guarantee nobody got there before you....
