Are Heli Crash Sites Broken????

I was on a server and found a heli crash site it had NO loot then about 3 mins later the server restarted and the heli crash site was still there when i re joined with NO loot. I thought they respawned every server restart????? Please someone that knows how it works explain this to me!!!

Sounds to me like someone just beat you too it.

There are only 3 likely locations now where people scamble too.

Prison Island, the NWAF and Helicopter Crash Sites.

Given that there are only something like 3 crash sites per server reset, it wouldn't be long before they all get looted.

Sounds like the server was a persistent server. Persistent servers are currently broken and glitched for helicopter spawns. The helicopters do not actually disappear every server reset, but the loot still spawns at one of the crash site locations.

This means that the helicopter crash could be from a long while ago and the loot actually spawns at a different crash site without the actual helicopter. This can lead to a situation where there will be helicopter loot in the middle of a field without there being an actual helicopter.

The one smoking crash site I found since last update had loot but it was 20-30 meters away from the chopper for some reason. Only reason I saw the loot was because there were some boots there.

They change locations every 3-4 hours.

they do not reset when the server reset. They stopped that months ago due to people reseting there servers to get helis all day. They respawn pretty quick on there own and sometimes get bugged, I for one know by a fact they still work because I have the fn fal

a couple of hours ago I found 2 heli crashes on the same server they had plenty of loot, maybe its the server you play in ?

Restarts DO NOT CAUSE DYNAMIC EVENTS, they run on a timer... Have noticed that after restarts the dynamic events like helo's etc have zero loot, but they seem to jump 15-20mins later and from then on run as expected...

Recently I've seen 2 MI-8 north of Zeleno, I took 5 min to flank and arrive from a good spot and... nothing. Absolutely nothing although no restart occured.
