are the lowlifes if DAYZ, the lowlifes in real life?? just a question// mature posts
i was thinking . there is a whole community of us good guys fighting the baddies of DAYZ.. the guys that act like scumbags in game must be real mudnames in life... not neccesarily the guys playing villains but the selfish kill anything for loot thiefing dirtbags .

Sure..assumptions are good things to go with. Or we could go with the flaws and wonders of anonymity assumption.

The approach to other players is meant to be whatever you want it to be. Toss in some cool survival (which those KOS bandits play the largest part of) and some equal parts FPS fun and you have why DayZ is popular.

People need to stop trying to draw parallels between game behavior and reality. Look up acting/roleplay.

In general, I attempt to be kind to those I meet out in the open, or in structures.. but the most out of thousands of supposed "friendly" encounters only end with one or the other, dead.
Since most in Dayz would kill, cut open, or even sodomize you for a simple can of beans... I tend to shoot first and not ask questions later.
I expect no kindness in Dayz, but on the rare occasions you can actually give someone some simple supplies and not get an axe or machete or (insert favorite bullet calibre here) through your skull... it is a semi-pleasurable feeling at best. :P

I would only assume that real people who are the "lowlifes" you speak of dont know how to be nice in real life so how would they know how to be nice in this game, however good people know how to be bad and may choose that type of game play. and he was asking a question based on a assumption, a pretty good one too. and by asking on this forum shows me hes not just assuming the whole idea! :D

kos bandits are not the game... Villains make the game fun . kos is the easiest way to play and thats it.. lying and stealing... i just think it might be there morals showing through in the game... and why wouldnt it.... i like to help ppl in real life and not be a scumbag, and thats what i do in the game.... when i do play villain its not for my own lack of gaming ability so i need there ♥♥♥♥.... its to play villain.... i think most honorable ppl on here dont steal and ask for help from ppl then screw them over....
