People need to stop trying to draw parallels between game behavior and reality. Look up acting/roleplay.
Since most in Dayz would kill, cut open, or even sodomize you for a simple can of beans... I tend to shoot first and not ask questions later.
I expect no kindness in Dayz, but on the rare occasions you can actually give someone some simple supplies and not get an axe or machete or (insert favorite bullet calibre here) through your skull... it is a semi-pleasurable feeling at best. :P
