Whilst I completely disagree with their attitude, Smokey is somewhat correct in some respects.
Dont look at .53 as the panacea for all ills. But do expect it to have an effect.
Remember also that .53 is not theend of anti cheat operations. It's just a patch and in this Alpha stage more holes will be discovered and indeed opened that can be exploited.
As to hardware bans, well, the H1Z1 forums have as much hacusation going around as we do here, so whilst it might be a deterrant, its not a comprehensive fix.
Yes, in an ideal world Id like cheats to have a big willy tattooed on their foreheads and have to use the skull o tron to log in.
But, lets not get too over zealous and see how things pan out in the coming *months*...Quarters even.
The cheat issue will not dissapear overnight.

PS Smok3y we dont delete foolish comments or constructive criticism.
/sigh........................ people that know the future and spoil it for us are so bothersome...............
1st off................... your wrong, there. lets establish the tone of my reply comment right up front.
2ndly..................this isnt hate, this is a discussion lol
3rdly.................. If i owned a hacking site id advertise i could hack everything from NASA to Homeland security ( theres a red flag lol ).
"So cuz you seen it on the interweb it MUST be true " ??
I have no idea what mod AC was implemented into the MOD so i cant comment. As far as the one their implementing in DayZ SA.................... NOONE knows how it works yet so its impossible to predict its success/failure. 2 seperate teams working with 2 TOTALLY different engines on 2 TOTALLY different games with TOTALLY different parts and subsystems.............. you starting to get " jist " of what im goin for here ??
They are putting ALOT of money and time working with several different companies to combat this hacking problem................. they " might " even have some above average intelligent people helping them. ( of course they do you muppets ) They are all doing this to not fail niserably but hopefully succeed or at least start a battle where the hackers have to actually either work to hard or invest in better talent ( an expensive proposition ) to continue to make hacks to the point hopefully its not worth it.
Bottom line...................... you have NO clue what will happen, your talking from a pessimistic POV and trying to suck all the " hope " out of the room cuz you yourself have lost all hope for some personal reason.................. "if you cant deal with the pain might as well share it "
Even if the patch doesnt fix everything ( and it wont ) at least its a great place to start : ))
So by all means have your personal opinon/theory...................... but please dont go to a childs birthday party in the park and scream as loud as you can...............
" SANTA ISNT REAL AND YOU WERE ALL ADOPTED !!!! "................." oh, and it looks like the ponies from the pony ride have mange and it looks like rain, Happy B'DAY !!! "
Then walk away punctureing the jumpy house and running over the clown as you pull away...............
@Dies, well... you know my circumstances... so I can 'maybe' lift you in firemans... but the point.. hehe.. you know I cant throw you far... BTW... my new weigh in is 185.
@______Q_______ Yes, anything can be overcome but Death / taxes and how to answer a woman if that dress makes her butt look big. But spoofing HW is not an entry level skill..
They have to buy the game again to play after being banned... and so you see why Dayz hackers are still there but H1Z1s arent. H1Z1 plans on being free to play with an optional payment system. Hackers will entirely kill their funding post buy to support period.
Dayz will always be buy in, they have your shekels and dont plan on needing you to spend more.
It makes perfect sense from a marketting perspective, EA wouldnt ban them either.IN MY OPINION They wont tell you this directly but the way they see it is the hackers are paying 2-10x as much for the advantage.IN MY OPINION From the owners of Dayz perspective, this is just like an *unspoken* pay to win.
Isnt that insulting and infuriating? It should be.
That said, so far I havent died to hacker that I thought was a hacker, yea you randomly get shot sometimes, its a big map and people have cammo and sniper sights.
Hello there
Are you accusing the devs of profiteering by allowing cheats to buy more games as a viable revenue stream?
Please, tell me Im wrong...

Oh forgive me for my wording oh moderator with assumed impending hammer, I was merely attempting to imply this was likely instead of factual. My mistake. Put yourself in their shoes... people who arent paying any more money compared to people who are paying 10x as much. Who is more valuable.
We know there are hardware bans that work... but its just a fact, in Dayz, each time a hacker is "light" banned, it generates a game sale. More game sales or less game sales, which is more attractive?
Anyways, fixed the original post for you, Im sure it meets your quality control standards now.
They posted a warning on 1/27/15 that from that point on hacks and dupers would be banned.
They want no hacks or exploiters. If you have been banned, you did something to deserve it.
It is that simple.
EULA says no third party programs. Let me write that in caps, NO THIRD PARTY PROGRAMS!
That should take care of any false positive BS.
I have hours in both games, I like DayZ better yet it is not worth playing with all the hacks.
Hacking is DayZ biggest issue, they need to go EXTREME on a anti cheat engine.
Take Sony's view with hardware bans and go further bigger more epic than any game before.
All a legit gamer wants is a fair game.
You are right. If you hack or cheat, it deserves immediate and lasting punishment. Less hackers = better game for everyone. I understand and completely agree. I can tell you right now, that I am a "legit gamer", and I want a fair game as you put it. That is why I feel especially wronged when I got hardware banned from H1Z1 for a reason not even explained to me. I never used and third party programs, and I never duped an item, even by accident in that game. I have never been VAC banned in any game, and have never had hacked or harassed in general for the 3 years I've been on Steam.
You can believe all you want that false positives are BS, but I know that they are possible, and that no anti-cheat system is 100% perfect, and that there must be holes in the system that make them happen. Whether you believe that I am innocent of hacking or not, I know that an unjust hardware ban happened to me.
If DayZ is going to go forward with hardware bans, I hope that no innocent player ever has to go though the frustration of being banned unjustly.
H1Z1 design eliminates hackers pretty much completely and if you get falsely banned there is nothing you can do but complain and eventually threaten the developers.
Also hackers are criminals and there is no reason they would not threaten the developers if they are banned too.
For now though, I just want to remind people of the risks of such hardware ban systems. Yes, they work well most of the time, but they are not perfect and will make a mistake now and then, no matter what service it is or who it is made from. Eliminating hackers and cheaters for good is great, but is it worth the risk of innocent "legit gamers" being caught in the crossfire. People who bought the game and want to play fairly. Its a hard decision for developers, but it is a decison they have to make.
