To the OP how someone reacts to you can depend on how they are feeling that day. There are definitely people out there looking for interaction but don't expect it from everyone. You just have to assess each situation in the moment and act accordingly.
Most people I meet seem to be similar. go their own way.
The odd doofuss that gets a bullet, and those that get too close for comfort.
Dark balaclavas look alarming, especially under military helmets. People are wary of motorcycle helmets too. Civilian hats are seen as more approachable.
If someone keeps side-stepping while speaking, it means they don't trust you, and you shouldn't trust them. Wiggling the upper body while standing still is seen a friendly gesture, however.
Nowadays since I'd only play on community servers there's much more incentive to communicate.
