PBO MANAGER
Hi,

Where to find PBO manager for modding/content creation?
I downloaded like 4 different zip files and in the installation process, i noticed that they are from an unknown publisher and contains possible malware and other nasty stuff, so are there any links to safe or reliable file managers?

Thank you.

winseros pboman3 -> github, it's a newer version of winseros PBOManager.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I'm trying to make custom clothing and other stuff and bring them into DayZ but i need to compress or crunch them to a .pbo file. I need an software for that.

I do download mods from Steam DayZ Workshop.

At least Mikero is a very trusted author in the community. But you can also download the Dayz Tools found in your steam library if you prefer the game developer's official toolset.

Ok i'll consider that Mikero's soft, tho Mikero said that if after downloadingit's soft, something happens like PC breaks down or files are lost, then one can freely to sue Mikero, meaning Mikero does not care if it's product ruins peoples day....

How do i use DayZ Tools to create .pbo file? i have made an custom object for DayZ and now i have to pack it and create as a .po file and store it after that, in the game files.

EDIT: i read how to use DayZ Tools to make .pbo files via addon builder but it is called addon breaker because it does not work correctly so i guess i'll go with something else.

I'm just worried to download a software from unknown publisher and not being able to have a peek inside, what does the file contain, it might be something nasty but i guess i have no option if i want to proceed with this project of mine.

I did download Mikero's tool but it's whole lot different than in the videos and it does not work. I watched lots of tutorials and when i opened Mikero's, the outcome is different and does not act the same way as in the videos.

I guess it's back to reading wiki and watch YT tutorials.

It doesn't mean that at all. This is a common "this program is provided as-is" clause in a software EULA. It's impossible to account for every single combination of hardware, drivers, software, configurations, etc. on every person's computer. If some obscure program or driver on your computer interacts/interferes badly with their software and it results in something breaking, the software author cannot be held liable.

Try PBO Manager if you don't like command-line manipulation. You can find it at https://github.com/winseros/pboman3/releases.
