Arma Reforger is the new and updated Enfusion engine. Bohemia Interactive created this engine specifically for big open landscapes and milsim type stuff. It looks freaking awesome. I can’t wait until the next DayZ comes out on this new engine. Absolutely stunning and I think it blows UE 5 out of the water.

But tbh i hope there will never be an official DayZ on the new engine as long as the main game is still a mess in many ways. AI is still garbage, base building/raid is still garbage, server connections are garbage, especially on official servers, there is still many content from the Alpha/Beta missing like the Bus, melee is a mess and so on...
Before they think about a new game, they should finish their actual game. Sure, there are many mods. But mods are still mods, and for many people, including me, it's a struggle to find a good server that includes the mods you actually want to play with, because most servers use mods that ruin the core of the game and no longer have anything to do with DayZ. Unfortunately, mods have also caused the community to split, making it significantly harder to find people to play with who share the same interests. Some only play without traders, some absolutely want to play with traders. Some need unlimited stamina, while others prefer stamina. Some absolutely need a group system, others don’t, and so on.
