Items being taken from my base

I've lost a Vikhr, winter camo plate carrier and pouches(full of grenades), glow plug.

I've changed the combi lock code.
Is someone glitching in? Recently 2 empty barrels were up against the entrance.
What gives?

I don't trust official servers anymore, either someone is logging off in the building you do, or either they are glitching inside or making the wall disappear (a hack that was documented on youtube, which is in the wild).

It's not worth in my opinion making a base in official servers, there is no fun, time 12 hours, and your base may disappear, it happened to me so many times, even by making multiple metal towers with no gap or even possibility to jump beyond them.

I made another one recently with a group, we are gonna see how long it lasts, there is no way this time they get in in 1 day.

I understand the argument "no base is unraidable", but to have all your doors disappear in 1 day... well that's not normal isn't it? When they were more than 20 doors + walls.

This is on official?
My base is on a very low pop official server. they might have climbed over the gate, haven't got barbed wire installed yet. It would explain the 2 barrels up against the gate.

Can you install the barbed wire after the gate is built?

Of course you can. But its only a single wire - which generates few bleedings at best. Construct more gates. One red combination lock is worth nothing. A minute if youre lucky or 20 minutes if its brute force.

Are they boosting over your walls/gates, taking what they want, and then changing server to escape?

No base should be safe from raiding.

you gave the answer yourself...oc they used the barrels to stack em and climb over the walls.

People don't know how DayZ works, so let me explain it.

If you build a base and put items in it - any hackers that joins the server will have your stash marked on their screen, along with all the loot inside of it. By putting your items in any sort of stash, you're advertising them to any hacker that joins the server.

If you want to keep items safe, put them in a barrel, pick it up, and log out. Or put them on a mule.

Basebuilding community servers servers on DayZ are typically unpopulated and less popular compared to "Adventure" servers. Basebuilding servers usually are PvE with PvP zones.

js play on skyfall servers those are usually safe

UPDATE: my base with all metal doors (6 metal doors with nearly 5 meters of distance between each other + towers to stop climbing made of metal too) is completely gone.

Even walls and towers that were not needed to be destroyed to enter. All the loot, barrells and tents are completely gone.

Cheaters? Probably yes.

Why take the effort to make everything disappear, and it has been just 1 day.

4133 official server.

Never making a base ever again in this game.

I know that cheaters have ESP and can see every base and wall and stash.

However, you can't use barrells to boost yourself up anymore, they removed the hitboxes to avoid just that, it was too OP.

Also, you can't keep a barrell in your hands that has loot.

You can only keep items inside a Sea Chest or Nail Box and still keep it in your hands.

Sorry to hear that - a lot of work gone... To build you must first have a good server; unofficial with active admins is a must. And i guarantee that construction wont disappear just like that. Find a good server, know its rules, be on their discord - whole different game.

Barrels have no collision properties .. you can't stack them or climb on them .. you just walk right thru them. IF someone is going over your fence, it's by using a truck parked next to it, or by placing a large tent and vaulting from there.

Another problem that the removed hitboxes from the barrells created is, when you make a fire in them, you need to be careful where you walk or you could burn yourself lmao

Oh I do not doubt your story at all, shady stuff can happen on Officials .. I was just wanting to clarify the Barrel issue.
