to have "space" between players.
Don't lie.
You start the map (Chenarus) with both your Thirst/Hunger meters at yellow (starve faster etc) but can stock up on food from the fruit trees. In Livonia, you start the map with at least a piece of food and your Hunger stat on White (Thirst is at yellow)
I'd say, try Livonia and see how that goes. Try the maps you can and see which one you prefer more. Deaths, well, avoid people as best you can (unless it's a death caused by hunger/thirst/sickness etc)
Dying is part of the game (like Dark Souls) just Learn, Adapt, Conquer
I tried Chernarus at first ….. my buddy and I couldn’t find each other which got frustrating so we headed to Namalsk since it’s smaller. Still couldn’t find each other until we found out about the party/group mod.
Chernarus is huge and as many others would probably suggest - it’s probably best to play the base game as intended before jumping into mods and modded maps.
Half the posts from noobies are complaining the game is empty and there are no players. Big boring empty map. No food anywhere. Recommending it, is basically stupid.
So how do you respond?
"let's recommend the biggest and most boring map for newbs to play"
He's probably not stupid and can figure out how to play in an hour or two. Let's not deprive him of the fun, popular maps.
Nah, only if they are weak. All I played on was the Chenarus map (didn't buy Livonia and jumped into it for the first time when they gave it to the rest of players who didn't own it)
The OP was like I, complained/♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about starving to death and no food (most players are inland, camping and waiting for other players to stroll in) The more the OP plays the game, the more easier it'll become (when it comes to learning certain things)
The OP said "I've had 8hrs and many deaths(lol), searching" so, that "hour or two" is false. Everyone is different and it could take longer for some to get the hang of it etc. I played for over 100+ hours with just the Chenarus map.
And boring map? I think that's a personal preference. Some can say it's boring while others do not.
that's on you. i don't find it boring at all.
now think about all the new players complaining about getting killed randomly 20 times in a row and then go ahead and suggest a pvp map. that's certainly better than a beginner-friendly map people have been enjoying for a decade
but we're stupid. gotcha.
but theres tons of very well-done community maps.
https://www.izurvive.com/ theres a good collection.
"Hehuehuehu muh PVP"
Just play V++ servers.
Chernarus is good. You spawn by the sea, loot the town for food, then walk in a straight line inland until you get domed.
I asked because i have dayzmod experience 4k+ hours but absolute noob in Dayz SA so i'm interested in re-creating that aesthetics by modded server with intense pvp and map like one of these. I think that performing all these mechanics is not so interesting, like fixing clothes, fishing, etc. - i consider it to be waste of time. PVP on some interesting familiar maps is what i expect. Is it possible to do with Dayz?
