renting servers
so im thinking about doing my own dayz server but not sure what server host i should use can you all help me with ones that you are using. thanks

It depends on what your goals are.
If you just want a solo experience, or only have 3 or 4 other friends who you want to play with/against (less than 10 slots), you can host your own Local server on your own PC, or you can rent a "cloud" server from someplace like Nitrado (Nitrado Hosts Official servers) for a lower fee. Maybe around $25.00 a month.

If you have big dreams, and want to host the next "server of the month", with 60 to 100 slots, then you're going to need to rent a server from a service that provides Dedicated Hardware, that you can spec out for your needs (typically, rent 2x the amount of capacity {CPU cores/speed, RAM amount/speed, HardDrive space and speed) that you think you need for the mod package you plan to install. This kind of service can run anywhere from $50.00 to $150.00 a month.

Are they a shared resources/Cloud service, or are they Dedicated Hardware rentals?
