DayZ
I have the solution to the skyfall server where you cant change server
go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DayZ and then right click go to properties click the hidden box at the bottom and then apply, do this a second time so that you can see the files again

you will then see a folder at the top called Workshop! this is the folder that skyfall adds t oyour computer hidden so you auto join them delete this

hope this helps

!workshop is your normal mods folder, well actually it's more of proxy folder full of "shortcuts" to the real mods folder where the mods are in numbered folders (but that's another complex matter).

The point is Skyfall didn't create that folder, deleting it only works because you deleted the Skyfall/BGZ mods, but all you really need to do is unsubscribe them in the launcher and then do verify on your game files, because now you've got to download 10, 20, 30GB of mods again and steam will eventually re-download those bad mods.
Next time you join one of the 9000 fake servers, the mods will run again and alter your game files to force you onto their servers.

I've said in another post, but people keep taking the nuclear approach to fixing Dayz issues, and they just create more problems for themselves.

I posted a solution that works to block the servers from appearing, but apparently only 3 people care about it.

Your solution is good for avoiding the server or for re-avoiding the servers after one has had the problem .. your solution does not FIX the problem once the issue has occurred.

Here is how you get rid of the problem mods .. once this is done, you can use Daxsters method to avoid joining them again:

Deleting folders WITHOUT first Unloading, and then Unsubscribing the mods, literally does NOTHING. As soon as you re-launch the DayZ Launcher, it will re-download all the mods.
