Humvee Spotted on Sakhal (Official Server)

My friend and I spotted a guy riding a Humvee on Sakhal on the official server. Since there are currently no Humvees spawning on that map, I was wondering if there’s some way to transfer cars between maps? Or is the guy just cheating?

Do you have Steam game recording in the background? (if you have that set up, don't know) if so, you can make a clip of it (if it was your last session) so we can all see this Humvee.

I don't even know what cars are on the Official servers (never put a car together in this game, played before they even got added) just curious because I never heard of this game having that car drivable.

I don't think you can bring something from a Community Server onto Official (if the player got the car from one of those servers) I'm no expert but am sure they will answer you.

That's impossible, there are no humvee spawns in the mpmission folder of Sakhal map at all.

Either this was community server and it was added in, or somehow, was a cheater, even if I don't think cheaters can spawn vehicles?

And to reply to your question; no, there is no way to transfer your vehicle from a map to another, only your loot / character

Or it could also be that a specific server from Official hive, was slipped in with a spawn of a humvee from official developers, maybe they forgot.

This is just a silly theory, I don't even know how dayz devs host their servers / to who and if they just send the same branch of changes to all 1st person / 3rd person mpmission and config files of servers

Yeah, people need to be very specific with details, so it'll be easier to pinpoint the issue and can find a solution with not much trouble.

Here, we have a guy with a Humvee, is that a car in game that you can put together? because out of all the cars I've seen (messed up in-game) I have not seen a single Humvee lol

Put the details of what players can carry over from other servers. I know if you are looted, that goes with you but a car? maybe a boat, if you just switch servers but stay on the same map.

The only times I server hop is if I need to. But with a ride? I've only been on a boat and it's usually on the Sakhal map. Never server hopped to a different map with one, I usually stick to the same map with stuff like that.

And from what I see, it would be a pain in the butt getting car parts and putting together one, alone on top of that.

So, a Humvee is in the game and can be put together? okay, didn't know that. I don't think they would forget something like that and with just one player riding it.

I am always on Official and never came across anyone one in a car, just a boat lol I miss out on a lot of things.

So, no Humvees for Sakhal but for the other Maps? so weird. A cheater using a hack to spawn in a vehicle, I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if there is such a thing (hacks for everything) but wanting to be loud in this game? sniper heaven.

Honestly finding a car in official, is rare, because there are clans on the most populated servers that hides them all or locks them in bases.

Infact, the moment I find a car in the forest with 3 missing wheels because they logged out with the wheels in their hands + battery and spark plug missing, I just destroy the engine until it smokes (that will make the car respawn in a random spot of the map).

Officials servers unfortunately have an insane gate keeping type of players that will take everything for themselves to not let others have it.

Don't get me wrong that's also part of the game, but ffs, why do some groups / clans, need 4 freaking cars?!?!? When it's a group of 5 people.

The maps have only 30 actual spawns of cars, if there are 4 clans on the server that start taking and hiding 4-8 cars each, do the math and the numbers / possibility to find a car become so much lower for a player that is just starting or wants to enjoy building a car from scratch.

I've seen people also, that when they find a car that needs being built, they surveil it from far away and snipe everyone that get close while their friends are finding the pieces in other villages.

It's a habit for me now, that when I see a car, I just scope the whole city / village first and buildings to make sure no one is watching.

In 2500 hours I've seen insane sh1t on official, and I think I'm yet to see more lol.

Btw yes, I don't understand why the devs didn't allow humvees to spawn in Sakhal too, I guess they can be too OP on such a tiny map, Idk (they are half bullet proof)

You can only take what you can carry in your Inv or in hand.
It is not possible to transfer a vehicle.
I don't know if a "cheat" can spawn in something not included in the
mapfile or if it needs it included in the gamefile or a mod.
Personally i would think not but it would be best to ask a "server expert".
There are plenty around like \M/, etwas or KC. They have way more experience
that most.

up to 44 cars (golf, olga, lada, skoda) can spawn on chernarus + the humvee and truck spawns.
if "clans" hoard them in their bases, it seems to me that basebuilding is OP. but then i constantly read that baseraiding is too easy. hmm^^
theres the obvious cheating going on on official - this people would be reported and banned on most popular community servers in no time. on official they can do their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ maybe for weeks or months. and it just needs one of those on a single official server to lock a huge amount of vehicles.

destroying the engine of half wrecked cars, hidden in the woods of the map, is a good way to spawn in fresh ones. its worth it to check the edges of the map for abandoned vehicles, if one cares.

and for the humvee not being on sakhal - i think the only reason is the need for a glowplug - which is meant to be a rare item on sakhal, as its been used for sth else.

True, the glowplug point is a good point to also why the Humvee is not on Sakhal.

Also yeah, check the borders of the map, you will be amazed on how many hidden stashes or cars you may find.

Ah, So, that would be in the gamefiles in general, not Individual Server files
or for the individual maps?

The server is DE 5441. It should be an officiall one.

I didn't have recording on when we saw it. Since we’ve already done everything we could on Sakhal, the only goal we have now is to find the Humvee. If we get lucky, I’ll definitely do some recordings

Also devs stated that Sakhal is supposed to have predominately Eastern gear, and well... Humvees aren't very Eastern - probably why they were excluded from that map.
