I like to play the smaller maps pretty much Vanilla. As it gives you a decent idea on how the author intended it. On one of our servers we rotate a new map every month and its been fun. Right now we are doing a little map called iztek. It is a fun little map and have really enjoyed myself.
I kinda wish there was a better way for map authors to display there work. as I feel only dayz vets know enough to get to these maps and even locate them. (The workshop is a hot mess when looking for anything)
Yes for any map you wanna play, just say u wanna play banov. Do a search for banov, pick it and let launcher download it. If you know a map is coming out and you know ur gonna want to play it. then find it in steam workshop and click subscribe, it will download it automatically.
This map represents what dayz is all about. I love it
One thing that i noticed is the lower frame rates i get on this map compared to the others , not unplayable but still...
Deerisle is also a cool map indeed , but for real hardcore survival you gotta play namalsk , its really harsh.
