What are your video settings in DayZ? What's the resolution and Hz on your monitor?

It's not a GFX problem, Dayz isn't all that graphically intensive, the FPS drops come from the game loading in assets as you move around, especially towns, traders and player bases, these assets, items, weapons, base parts, etc (and AI) are all 3d objects that your PC is tracking in real time, it doesn't matter if they're inside containers, backpacks or vehicles.

While this is certainly true, Icy has a solid system and, depending on his monitor size and refresh rate, there's no reason he can't get well over 100 fps all the time.

Assuming they have an NvMe SSD running at the correct PCIe buss speed..

I have to agree with the OP. I have a solid PC RTX3090, Ryzen 9 5950x, 32gb ram and a few years back I used to play this game at 1440p almost max settings and my fps would sit at the 240fps cap most of the time.
Since 1.26 my fps is probably 50-100 less than in earlier patches even with settings turned down. This is still very playable don't get me wrong but only because I had plenty of overhead before. It's just something I've noticed. People who were on lower fps before 1.26 must be struggling now.

I have never had DayZ reach 240 FPS, but I have not experienced any noticeable FPS drops in the last couple of updates either. As long as I stay clear of über-bases, I rarely experience fluctuations in FPS, which is capped at 144 at about medium settings.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS
RAM: 128GB DDR5-5200 Kingston (I enjoy being able to edit realy ..realy, large images)
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX
Storage: Kingston SFYRD2000G, Kingston SFYRS1000G
Monitor: AOC U34G2G4R3 (34" Ultrawide, 3440x1440, 144Hz)

I was going to say and tempted... that it may be your CPU?

But you are on the 11th generation, some 12 and 13th generation intel CPUs can become faulty after some times and starts performing badly.

Idk if that's the case for 11th generation as well.

Try to update intel drivers and microcode?

Haven't noticed any differences in FPS on a 3060ti with a 10th i5, medium graphics
Also I may add that if you get this performance drop on Sakahl that's totally "normal".

Everybody does get peformance drops on Sakhal because it has too much assets to load in and considering the Engine is relatively old, it takes a hit on performances depending where you are on the Sakhal map.

Also the new 6000 meters distance settings may be something that changed how the game behaves, not really sure, but I also like other people said, after 1.26 I def took a hit on the fps, but it may be placebo because when I changed the draw distance to lower (3200 meters as I had it before 1.26) Namalsk performs like before, Chernarus.. maybe?? Livonia too, Sakhal is just atrocious fps depending on where you are.

Regarding Intel processors of the 12th-13th generation, you are saying something you know nothing about, the performance never dropped there, if the processor failed, the only sign of this was crashes to the desktop and Windows failures. I personally am the owner of the 13th generation and can confirm this.
I read that the 12-13th processors were flawed somehow, and Intel had to push microcode update to fix that.

It's not that I don't know what I'm talking about, it's that it can happen if you don't update your drivers.

That was my message.
