Sakhal permanent contaminated areas

I've checked out three different areas so far, but I haven't found anything yet. I'm not sure if these areas actually work, as I found the information only on the Izurvive map. Do they spawn loot? If so, what kind of high-tier loot can be found there? Is the loot visible on the ground, or do I need to tab to see it?

on sakhal its just the hotsprings and the centre of the volcano marked as "contaminated" on izurvive. theres no loot.
there might be some real contaminated areas in the future to make use of the nbc gear which already spawns on sakhal.

AFAIK only KarmaKrew makes use of the NBC gear with a randomly appearing contaminated ghost ship.

Yeah at first I also thought they were gas contaminated area by looking at iZurvive, when instead if you get close it doesn't even hurt you? It just makes you hot, it's good to avoid making a fire, so that's a win I guess.

However this doesn't remove the question:

why add white NBC suit if there is no gas zone?
