Keep getting sick

I cant figure out whats causing my guy to get sick.

I was sick earlier, after eating pumpkin slices. No my hands were not bloody either. I went to drink chlorinated water, vomitted, so i had to slowly sip water until it came back. I was only farming and hadnt drank any water until AFTER I got sick from eating.

I take tetra/charcoal and waited.. it went away. all stats are in the white. Suddenly i get sick again out of nowhere, guy is wiping forehead now? So i took tetra and it went away in like 1 minutte.
Okay, about 25 mins after that my guy is randomly sick AGAIN and wiping his forehead. What the hell is happening? Makes NO sense.

Im on a vanilla community server.

possible you had the cold first then maybe the water you drank wasn't chlorinated is the only thing i can think of. Wiping forehead is either you are hot or have a fever.

I thought the sickness can be transmitted from objects you or other people handled when sick, I seem to remember this being a thing.
On my server I modded the tetra and vitamin pills to last 15 minutes, as popping pills all the time gets incredibly tedious.

Someone else on my servers discord asked almost an identical question earlier today, saying the cholera keeps getting cured, then 20 min later (no food or drink) the sick symbol appears again and they puke if they eat/drink (cholera returned).

oh well. Sounds like its just dayz

If you take 1 Tetra, than you have to wait until the Pill Symbol goes away, than
you need to directly take another Tetra, you repeat that until you took 4 pills total.
if you just take 4 pills, it will do nothing for you. It was 4 Pills 1 or 2 Updates ago.
But maybe worth trying.

It could also be some kind of Mod on that Server, not all Vanilla Servers are completly Vanilla XD.

Even if you're doing everything right, you can still get sick. Kinda like in real life. Just keep practicing good hygiene, and take tetra pills when you get sick. Wait for the pill icon to go away, pop another. Repeat until not sick. If you keep getting sick repeatedly, you are doing or not doing something that is decreasing your immune system. Being wet and/or cold can increase chances of getting sick for instance. Having low hydration or hunger can also make you more susceptible. If it's really a problem, look for multivitamins. Gives you an immune system boost that lasts a few minutes, take it when your bars are low and/or you're stuck out in the cold or rain.

I'm thinking the bug is in 1.19. I am experiencing a similar round of get well, get sick, get well, get sick, etc. The kicker was logging out sick then when I came back I was well....for about 10 minutes without eating anything but did drink chlorine purified water. I've seen some other reports on a few reddit threads that are similar. I'll be suiciding and see if that breaks the cycle.
The logout/login 'cure' is definitely not an intended mechanic.

its not a bug

your stats have to be good and stay that way to prevent/cure that illness, water food and temp

I was maxed in both with full blood and health. You don't get well by logging out and then back in - did you miss that part even though I said it twice?

logging in an out doesnt cure anything you are joining a different server

you may have a wound infection. disinfect rags or you will get the sick icon

If you drank from your container whilst sick you will have infected it. Whilst medicines will cure you of the illness unless you have your your stats high enough to give you an immunity stat about 95 you will still be very vulnerable to infect yourself again if you drink from an infected container that was not fully drained or disinfected or purified

Full blood and full health does not mean you are full IMMUNITY. Under 65% immunity you will get the cold constantly at almost the first instance of rain or damp clothing. Above 95% immunity you will self cure all infections except the Kuru. To get to the high immunity levels not only do you need to have full health and blood but also very sated. Bear in mind that full apple is only 50% of max hunger satisfaction so you need to ensure you keep drinking and eating until the chevrons can no longer show triple increase and just flicker up and down as i chevron and at that point you are fully satisfied.
