Edit: Fixed. The problem is with discord. Yes, Discord. When I tried to close and enter, I joined the game. I ran the Discord program as administrator and the problem was solved. Also, turn off discord's in-game overlay. I noticed that the FPS drops in this game.

Close discord and run discord with administrator. Problem solved for me, because of discord i think.

Correct, it's the overlay of Discord (or another program) which interferes with Steam.

For a while I had this problem and terminating discord fixed it. Since early this year I have it again and discord isn't the culprit. It's been months since I have been able to connect to any server and I'm pretty pissed off about it. I'm beginign to suspect it's Radeon Software this time around because it's the only thing I can think of that's using overlays and windows desktop compositing is broken on this box.

I had this error today after switching maps. I needed to delete the folder with player profile inside the User/Documents/DayZ.

Getting this error on repeat, no discord open at all not even in the background, tried running discord as admin and didn't change, I have no idea where the player profile folder is because theres only one folder in the dayz folder, i bought the game a few days ago and this is my third time playing

its not Discord i dont have discord. and its not my interent, im on a T1. so it must be Dayz servers.

I just saw this issue pop up today. The problem IS NOT DISCORD. How do I know? Easy: I'm not running discord. Furthermore, I see that this issue is showing up in multiple languages across numerous threads. Something, somewhere has changed, and it might take some tracking down. As the game has not updated in the last couple of days, and Steam has, so my first thought is that it has something to do with the last Steam update. That said, both Norton and Windows also had small updates, and Battleye has had multiple issues with Windows 10 & 11, so that is also a possibility.
