Mic Feedback issue

I'm using a closed-back headphone and mic system (HyperX cloud II) via a Mini GoXLR Mini.

Whenever other people talk in game they can hear their own voice back, like an echo. There is absolutely no way they're hearing it via the headphones as I've tried turning it down to the point I can barely hear it, let alone the Mic. I also have quite an aggressive noise gate.

This has only started happening over the last moth or so. Before that, the exact same setup was fine. I have uninstalled and re-installed everything and still no joy fixing it. I've pretty much stopped playing DayZ because of this. It just completely ruins interactions. Any help would be greatly appreciate.

I've only experienced that when either me or someone I'm with is using Discord.

Oddly enough, I was playing Wreckfest on Wednesday with some mates, we were all in Discord and I had no issues. I'm convinced it's either DayZ, or more likely the Go XLR.

I've been experiencing this myself. It doesn't make any sense. I have an in-ear headset with a mic. I can only hear the in game sound with my ear really close to the ear bud(s) and if it's in my ear, there should be no way the sound is getting to my mic.
I thought discord, but I didn't have any open channels in discord and naturally, nobody sharing a discord channel.
I suspect it may be one of the following. I'll try to reply if I fix it.
- Mic boost. I have mic boost enabled since people complained they couldn't hear me.
- Some system sound channel setting. There's a chance my system sound is routing to the mic.
- There's a chance an app I installed, EqualizerAPO, could be involved. I was using it to switch L-R channels, since my last headset worked better when I flipped the ears so I could have the mic on my preferred side or the cable wouldn't reach across my body.
