tbh multiplayer doesent create extreme FPS drops, ever played Arma 3 A&D, Arma 3 AAS, Arma 3 CTI, Arma 3 CTF, Arma 3 TvT objective???
all original multiplayer game modes, that some user made their own mission from like the really popular Arma 3 CTI teetimes EUTW. all these game modes run smooth like SP. multiplayer starts to get a bit laggy if you start missions like wasteland with 1000 objects on the map, in combination with a crappy PC and you get posts like these :)
>Claims MP doesn't create lag
You seriously have a problem xD I can hit the game at least 110FPS but when it drops to 75FPS something is wrong there :/
I know why they decided to make the Stand Alone.
My comment about this engine being dead in the water was an insinuation that people seem to be expecting this game to have failed before it has even been given a chance to get better. A lot of people seem to think that Day Z isn't going to improve. The Arma 3 engine too a fair bit of time too develop and perfect and Day Z will likely go down the same path, but over and over again people keep saying Arma 3 is better, or this is better, that's better without waiting too see what this product will be like when it's actually completed.
thats what i said with crappy PC, with 1000 objects on the map and only a 32bit application, your processor will need all the raw processing power and the best multithreading. and we all know AMD sucks at these 2 things. the reason you get those drops is that your cpu is hitting its max and will have to unload some things that will make you drop fps. try switching over to i7 or lower your object detail
also dont test it on wasteland but search for cti map, i would reccoment EUTW teetimes cti warfare, really fun mode and runs smooth

altough they say its a gaming product on the box, they actually use really cheap parts to make expensive stuff. just type in google amd vs intel and weep
>Google AMD vs Intel and Weep
Okay first of all my 8 Core runs way better than my i7 and both are Oc'd so you cannot really say that Intel is better when you cannot afford either or. For research points I know that you are an Intel Fanboy just by seeing your post above. How about you use a blackboxed motherboard over your locked board there. You can buy the average 4 Core AMD product and out play that i5, i7 Series.
also there have been 100 post about this and all they said intel is better for arma 3 because of the way they use hyperthreading and have raw processing power where in AMD the qualitys lies somewhere else, and sure for some games that are build on that it will run better than intel, but on arma 3 sadly no
You dont even realize what you're saying, I think.
Also, the arma 3 engine looks and feels like utter ♥♥♥♥ compared to the current one.
I play it for Altis life and everytime I come back to DayZ I immediately notice a difference in the environment and movement
