why is this game so unbalanced?
im just trying to wrap my head around why this game is so unfair. from my experiences today, i have just ran around for about 3 hours. getting killed by people who are far more kitted up (most likely server hoppers.) to be honest i just feel like this game is a bunch of freshspawns getting mowed down by people who are more kieed up.

You probably just suck at the game. Take the time to loot places to get gear, or get the jump on a geared person and knock them out, or find dead bodies with loot. It's not that difficult.

This is not meant to be a balanced game, it's hardcore permadeath. Obviously if you have a gun, you're better off than the un-armed.

This is hard to believe. Because if you did play the mod, then you know the 1st rule to survive is to get off the coastal area and to get military gear inland.

Then you should know the mentality of this, that person has a gun; you don't. Trust me, a LOT of people complain about dying via another player; you're not the only one. Change your approach, stay out of the open if possible, sneak a majority of the time even if you think you're alone. If you don't like people in-game, try your best to stay away from people. Don't mind the person above (Space Cowboy), don't think he thought your post through well enough.

The mentality isn't at all different from the mod.

So after playing the mod did you expect something different?

As I said, either you're bad, or you're a troll.

You're talking about fresh spawns, thus I mentioned the beach. If you're deeper inland then you should expect geared players to be hunting each other.

DayZ SA has improved much over the mod due to the simple fact that you don't need to loot military bases to get the best gear.

The mosin I'd say is by far the mostly deadly weapon in the game.

Dude, Ive been joining full servers and haven't been able to find ANYONE. I'll run out in the open, stand around, and nothing happens. I even went to the airstrip. Nothing. Where is everyone? For all your KOS's at least they are more exhilrating that sprinting through the woods trying to find people.

if u didnt die u wouldt have made this thread so it looks like a cry baby moment sorry dude but it does , when i started i got killed all the time , yeah its annoying but its a survival game , u gotta fight for food and loot and most people u cant trust its excatly how it would be so its got nothing to do with being unbalanced , the game is fair unless u come across a hacker ( which i have only come across once so far ).

Quit running around cities. First thing you should do is run AWAY from the cities and find small towns. From there you can build up your character easily. This game is not difficult or unbalanced.

Being killed on DayZ should actually be a lesson. I learn something new from every character that has died and move on. Not to sound cliche or liberal, but it's a cyle of death and rebirth. Each new character is a legitimately brand new character with a new story.

It's also an alpha so don't cry about it being unbalanced. We've all gotten thrown through a wall one time or another and sucked it up.

Every time I fly down a staircase and die ( no more castles for Stoney ) I have to smile. I love gearing up, having nothing is freedom. I cannot tell you how many geared up toons I have now suicided to just start over. Groundhog's Day style.
