Will DayZ SA ever be properly optimized?
We've barely seen any improvements since project launch. How is this acceptable? Anyone that plays Arma 3 knows this lag comes from the server-client connection.

Is there any information posted on if they will ever be able to properly fix it. Like a roadmap or something? Anywhere? Even a tweet saying they are working on FPS performance? Discussion very welcomed.

I don't know yet, but I'm sure you'll explain me :)

We've seen nearly zero FPS improvements since the start of SA and given the mod optimization track-record, we won't see anything anytime soon. Anyone that owns Arma 3 knows that these performance issues stem from server-client connections that simply aren't up to date. Just making a educated guess, no need to go defensive fanboys. A discussion is heartily welcomed as I truly do want to just be able to play this great sim.

Don't feed the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ troll. There are enough troll threads already. Please lock.

There have been FPS improvements already, due to server side improvements. Clientside will come later. And they are working with AMD, Intel and Nvidia to do so.

Again, no need to cry to the hills with fanboyism. I've looked everywhere and see no roadmap or plans for optimization. Always scream "troll" when someone points someone out. Not a troll.

Sarcasm isn't needed when I'm running a 780 at ~25FPS maximum.

Well, your education sucks then. The standalone is currently in alpha phase, alpha, in terms of making a game, means adding content to a, somewhat, stable core of the game. This means that as new things get added the so-called stable core gets "overloaded" and stops working as it should, and becomes unstable. Once stuff has been added, and a few things fixed here and there to counter the crashes and such, beta phase hits, and that's when fixing the broken and unoptimized code really starts.

So no, we haven't seen much FPS improvements, since they're not important in the current phase of development. Exactly as it should be.

It's always great to have a conversation with you guys. You just throw here some bone to chew on, but when we try to discuss it, we're either alpha-fanboys or worse, noobs, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, whatsoever. I so much pity that underage boys could purchase this title and are allowed to post on the forums :(

And btw, the last update (on stable) had a major FPS boost on my and my friends' systems, so another proof that you are only here to start a flame.

Not a troll....just not clever, forrest gump status. its alllllll over reddit and dayz page about what exactly your whining about...........Box is like a box....i mean chocolate is not optimized.....go back to kindergarten homes and leave this game to big boys

Again my point also includes the aspect of Arma 3 because the online servers see the same exact type of de-sync lag. I just wanted a discussion, again no need for rampant fanboyism from the peanut gallery. Mods can lock because there obviously won't be a discussion, only people raging for no reason.

"And btw, the last update (on stable) had a major FPS boost on my and my friends' systems, so another proof that you are only here to start a flame."

Check the subreddit, no FPS boosts from this fix, proven to be placebo.
