PS: Yes im not a dev and im not able to programm a game, but im just seeking a logic i see in the developement of other beta... just saying.
Wow, seriously? Were you around for the announcement of the Stand Alone? Know this, if you were, you would be ALOT more pissed off then you are now. The date kept getting pushed back, and honestly, I was surpirsed by the December Alpha. I was hoping for a release way back in June, but knew if Rocket released it TOO soon, we would have people like you making whine threads and trying to defend your own personal whine. Just be glad youre a part of this experiment within an experiment. Or dont be, sulk all you want.
But, what do you consider the MOD community to be, after a game is finished? I think games continue "development" even after the company has stopped supporting it.

thanks dude, htis trhead realy needed a revival
I feel the same way. I was ready to buy this game but on the way home I stopped at a friend's house to see how it plays and it was more depressing than X-Rebirth.
DayZ + EPOCH is WAY better than the SA right now. I'm still at a shock for words on why they used the Arma 2 engine for the SA... Heavily modded but still Arma 2 engine with alllllll it's limitations...
It's a good job then that this one is going to recieve updates. They've said that ones coming soon with new weapons and the ability to make camps etc, a thread was posted on it just this morning. Understandably the Dev's won't commit themselves to a time frame for obvious reasons, but they can't win either way. If they did give a time frame, people would bash them if they didn't release the patch, if they don't then the same people bash them for not committing themselves to it and if they release a patch that doesn't work right, the same people will still bash them for releasing a broken patch, so they can't win no matter what they do.
And what limitations are these you are talking about?
It's tiring, please just grow up !!!
Sad news. This game needs more weapons and hats, not more bug fixes....
