I think i actually read the thread you're talking about with being force fed your own dog.
What would be a total fail?
By watch, my friend, I mean like watching it happen to someone on youtube. I'm wayyyy to scared to even get close to anyone in this game yet (unless I just spawned). I haven't even shot my gun once! XD The sound will probably be so loud, I'll jump xP
While perhaps a pet dog would make sense in a real survival situation, I can't really see it working out well in the game, unless they are the kind of "pets" you get in other games (that you can spawn at will and they just kind of hang around you being useless.)
Having wild/feral dogs though would be kind of cool, they don't even need to be friendly or hostile. They could just have detection and avoidance AI. They detect you, and avoid you...while howling, barking or yelping.
That noise could attract zombies, or even worse...
...it could attract players.
:)
Danke.
