Sound problem, please help.
I bought a DayZ, I installed it and everything went ok.I launched a game and connected to random server. Then i noticed that there is no sound, I thought it's servers problem, but not.All sound settings are on high, but still there is no sound in game.In other steam games like Counter Strike Global Offensive and Left 4 Dead 2 there is sound and everything works ok.Please help me to fix that sound problem, thank you. /SOLVED/

Sometimes if I connect my headphones after starting to login to the game from Steam I wind up with no sound, no matter what I do. The only solution I have discovered is to log completely out of the game, make sure that my device is connected and that my sound mixer is responding to volume commands, then log back into the game.

It works every time.

its a beta i lost my gun and backpack full of ammo in the water it just hoped off

Whenever that happens to me (3 times so far) I have found that if I simply loiter in the area, treading water, the game syncs back up and my stuff magically reappears on my character. You have to stay right on top of the stuff you lost though, as best you can, and just wait it out. Can take a few minutes sometimes.

And yes, I'm being serious.

aacl 8 MAR 2014 a las 3:52

Bubbles 8 MAR 2014 a las 7:36

aacl 8 MAR 2014 a las 8:26
No, I don't think that there is problem is drivers.

check you have not added the -nosound switch to the start parameters, otherwise try this:

In Windows 7, boot up your game, then alt tab after loading into menus.. go to your control panel.. Then go to, hardware and sound, sound, adjust system volume.. find the operation arrowhead and you will probably see its volume meter for this application is set to 0%, raise it and your all set.... Enjoy!!

or right click your "speaker" volume control and open the mixer

Thanks

Check your control panel under sound. Make sure the default player is your sound device. Sometimes people have more than one and it can get swapped over. Similarly check that it isn't accidentally muted.
