DayZ are known for it M^oronic fans and people are giant i don´t know how to say it but *imbeciles*
lol like that one guy ranting yesterday the game sucks because he kept being killed by others players by running on the beach over and over again.... Goldfish memory much?
Like you for example, being all entitled thinking that people need to heed you as the alpha and omega of everything concerning this game, stateing boldly that you don't care for other people opinions because you have your own, in the first sentence. Right off the bat.
On terms of the first part. How exactly would you describe the way the playerinteraction works right now, as unrealistic.
A landscape where every form of rules and consequences, which are usually enforced by third partys, have vanished. What do you think would happen?
Ever observed what's happening to warzones? Murder, rape, pillaging, torture all kind of atrocitys. Why do those happen? Exactly, because the rules and consequences are not existent and if they are, they can't be enforced.
If that would happen to our world right now, we would regress to the societys we had before we settled down. There would be tribes of people who are related in some way, killing and takeing everyone that they don't know and who they could easily take on, while leaveing alone and tradeing with those that are roughly the equal might.
What would happen if that tribe encounters a mightier tribe? look at what the tribe does with less powerfull tribes.
That was the reality of our lifes before civilization and its rules and laws. And this regression is simulated by DayZ, quite potently I might add.
So you might think people will become altruistic goody-twoshoes the moment society breaks down. Shareing the wealth and helping each other. But that's just delusional. It's not happening now, it will not happen in a world without rules. Pure Anarchy baby, got to love it!
Anyway, I'd be interested how the owning of Arma2 before DayZ makes someone more worthy in your eyes. I'd really would like to know.
I don't know how things can be changed from gameplay perspective to make the community to try to be nice (act like they would be in the game in flesh and blood). It's not natural that you'd attack the first friendly face (not a zombie) in a world like DayZ. You'd most likely tried to group up jadajada.
But what we have now is horrible community. Some of it caused by kiddos and some people just are social outcasts and play the game DM style. Most of the DayZ players came from the mod so all the bad habbits are coming to the standalone DayZ. It's a snowball effect and it can't be stopped unless the devs can figure out something how to encourage to be a ''hero'' in DayZ. I mean crap. Prolly have to go to the extreme and ''if you're a hero and get shot by bandit you will not lose nor drop any equipment'' LoL.
You mentioned sniper rifles are easy to use, true. That's why we need things from the Arma 2 ACE mod like the wind. You'd need things like kestrel to get exact wind velocity (or use shift+k to get a rough idea), but the point is we'd have 80% drop for sniper rifle users because those 1 click shots they used to do....would be gone. But I hear wind effects will be added to the game at some point so that's good news.
We really need some rewards for being a hero (damn good rewards) to flip the community back on track. If this game has any weaknesses, it's the community. What's the most basic question a player ask in forums when he considers to buy the game ? ''Is the multiplayer any good ?'' ''Is there alot of players ?''. Aaaand the most common answer to those kind of questions would be ''get ready to die instantly when you spawn'' ''the community is horrible''. Nice selling points yeah.
I agree. Learn from your mistakes as in real life also, and then you'll find Playing DayZ alot better... always think ahead, use cover.. think like a criminal but if you are a nice person you should always have the upper hand and when you encounter a player with fire power you need to be firm and state that you are friendly... always walk away backwards from them until you know it is safe to get out of there.. double check... scope the area out before going in.. check ridges and obvious sniper havens and the most obvious..... do not go where all the morons go.. simple.....
If you do, you cannot or will never be available to play it.
