Do you need to sit down to recover blood?

My hydrated status is at light green and energized at dark green so according to what I've heard I should start recovering blood. I'm just wondering if I need to sit still for this to happen or if I can run around. Also, how long does it take?

no u dont need to stand still if u were healthy before u got shot then blood regenerates 5 a sec if you didnt have healthy but were hydrated and energized 3 a sec. also if you did have healthy make sure u drink and eat alot regardless of what state u were in and in about 15-30 min your be fine.

How do you get to healthy status? I've ate and drank a ton before getting shot but never reached that point. Do you have to be at full health to get the status?

As long as you eat and drink you will regain blood, but it takes a very long time. Just check Blood Loss on one of the Dayz Wiki sites. Best solution is to have a friend (real friend, not jsut some random person) hit you with a saline injection. To make this combine and IV starter kit with a bag of saline. NOW as of this moment infection is not a problem but when it is implimented you must sterilize the Saline IV before using. Its best to just get in that habit early and you cannot use a saline injection on yourself, same with blood transfusions

I don't know if you've seen these yet but he does a real good job of explaining eating, drinking, status' and regeneration. Having already watched them, you only need to maintain the required status' to regenerate blood and health, no sitting required. Of course, like gerough said, a saline bag is the best recourse.
