But no 1 arrow 1 inventory slot crap like in the mod. Give us a quiver >_>
I agree. I'm pretty sure they will have a quiver of some sort (or let arrows stack, like bullets).
That, or the worst case, each arrow takes up 2 inventory slots :/
It's not impractical at all actually, and it's more realistic in a zombie/survival game. Once they do this they should reduce the amount of ammo, maybe undo 30 round mags and only allow 10 round mags.
I think its fine. Bow has 2 major pros.
- its silent
- it has a longer range than most of the silent military weapons
Depends on what they add tho. If they just add craftable wooden bows then yeah its accuracy and range wouldn´t be impressive. But a compound bow can be outstanding in range and accuracy. Especially with attachments like arrow rest and sights.
Like was said before, if they also make dealing with removing arrows that haven't killed the target somewhat realistic, like needing the proper tools to remove it, extra damage and bleeding upon removal... and my favorite, the introduction of poisoned or diseased arrows, then my friends we have a recipe for fun!
If you don't see where the arrow came from and your bowman stays quiet after the first poisoned shot... suddenly you don't feel too well and the arrow is still sticking out of you... I can just wait you out... die of the poison, the bleeding, or die by taking the time to deal with either... second arrow and your dead, and your friends are still none the wiser if you weren't alone.
I WOULD NOT take what was done in the mod with bows to be what we will see in the SA. Dean talks awfully excited about their implementation, and I don't think he wants them to suck.
I wouldn´t mind that. Only his friends would know, but not the entire town.
And the bow would still be better most of the silent military weapons.
