Server admin has the ability to kill everyone on the server?

So playing a server that i will not mention at moment...we kill a guy who has 1911 and AK on him....2 min later same guy is back.....same identical gear.....Server admin comes online...says, I am killing everyone in electkro, so we log out asap. Log into another server and we are all dead......

Can someone explain to me how this happens? How can the admin have a hack that allows him to kill everyone at will>?

From what i can gather admins dont have that kind of "power" so imo it smells a bit fishy, would stay the hell away from that server maybe even report it to the provider. Sucks that there are ppl like that out there :/

Tbh i hope he/they will get shot down asap, this bs needs to stop. I mean whats the point in having a server only to run it like a diktator. But the funniest thing in the vid must be the salt in the badmins voice, almost sounded like he had been crying.

Very likely just a hacker with an exploit that allowed him to use global chat. Admins do not have the ability to kill anyone on the server with a command of any sort. Nor would they considering they would destroy their servers population by being a prick.

Hey man, I had a admin or whatever admin-kos me in game that still effects my private hive characters perm. DayZ just hacks.

Because at the end of the video, when i rejoin another server, all of us were dead. Clearly, we were not killed on that server.

Pacifist, my problem is, we all got out of the server ASAP, even if he was a hacker and teleported and shot us, there is no way from the time he speaks over chat, to the time we logged out he could have shot 6 players all in random locations around the barn. There is some sort of global kill button I would imagine, or new hack out that allows him to do that? And why come over global chat to warn players? And how did he reboot the server? All these things to me point that he was the admin, who hacks somehow.

I can imagine so Majere. I have played on that server and never had a problem. When was that?

I'm not going to go into specifics about hacking.

Admins do not have any control over the database. They cannot mass kill or delete characters. He could have been an admin, but he did not have tools given to him by BI to do those things.
