No it isn't, the Z stands for Zero, not Zombie. So it would be zee.
No,i've seen an interview with Rocket saying that is pronounced DayZ(zee) not Zero, not Zed.. Its just Zee
Well slap me sideways, I'll take your word for it. My conclusion was that it's made by a New Zealander, and the zombies are called Zeds, aha.
Yeah, I'ma go ahead and back this guy tbh. It is Zed. The developer's wrong. Not being sarcastic, but he should go ahead and speak English like the rest of the Empire. Ah, I mean Commonwealth.
In British English the letter 'Z' is pronounced "zed" - so it's evident that the (sizeable amount) of people who speak British English will pronounce it that way.
Also if you say it as one word - it's actually pronounced "daisy" which is kinda funny too.
There's not a single daisy in-game!!!! xD
Then lastly I always wondered why if it is "Day Zee" there's no space?
It's understandable that there's a bit of confusion :)
I mean I call it "Day Zee" too, because "Days" sounds a bit weird and it also sounds like "daze" as in - 'I'm in a daze'.
