Best Server for a Beginner?

I just purchased DayZ two days ago and have been researching where to start. Which servers would be optimal for a noob like me and is there any difference between them? Thanks.

Honestly, best bet is to find a low pop server and just try to get a feel for the game.

I know how to navigate the coast mostly myself, so I'll give you a tip if you spawn near the water. If the coast is on your left you're going South or West. And the opposite if it's on your right. That might not seem like much help, but Knowing which way you're going is a huge help.

On all servers players kill on sight mainly on RP server so play on low pop server, and 3rd person view and 24/7 daytime must help you if you are a noob.

Though I only have played for a few hours, I actually learned to navigate through the map using this website: http://dayzdb.com/map

I think the only problems I have are actually finding supplies. Do some servers have a faster spawn rate or loot than others?

Server which has 10-25 people,i think.But the best way for the beginner is playing with friend who played before.

I recommend you join a full server and make your way to a large city with the conscious mindset you're going to die. It's worth the experience, trust me.

Loot spawns as server restart for now.
Will change later though.
So if you're on a populated server that's been up for a while you won't find much in the starter areas.
Most (all?) servers restart at least every 4hrs though.

Most (all?) servers restart at least every 4hrs though.

Some restart sooner. I've been on a few that restart every two hours. default is four, iirc.

Im a new player and Im finding this game insanely frustrating. Im finally good enough at the game to not die of hunger or dehydration any more (was only thing killing me at the start) but my new problem is hackers and people sniping me when im just a fresh spawn. Ive died once in a
fist fight, never in a gun battle. Just constant 1 hit kill shots from nowhere I can see. Had it 2 weeks and considering refund? Should I?

Lol... fair enough. Just try different servers with lower populations, official servers are a bit wild west from what I can gather and the cheater problem is pretty bad too
