Netus,
If we (The Community) are supposed to be the extended hand of the Devs in helping to make this game what its supposed to become. How is that going to be accomplished when people are leaving the game in Alpha status because they cannot play the game the way its meant to be played because hackers and cheats are interrupting the process by which feedback can be attained. You do realize that things like this are normally handled within a closed environment, but because we (The Community) are allowed to be apart of the process of the development that we are losing the opportunity before it truly begins. I think your being irresponsible by even saying what you said.
Why should my clan pay for a server that is being overrun by hacks and cheats and then be pinned or associated with such behaivor all in the name of the developer. Are we supposed to just sit there and take it while our reputation gets dragged through the mud. Our clan has been around since 1998. The one rule that we have operated by since the beginning is that we do not cheat no matter the cirumstances. If we took your stance, we would basically be promoting to the rest of the community that its ok to cheat, and keeping the server running, we condone it. No one knows who is and is not cheating, unless you are lucky enough to kill one and take their pulse before they log out and become an unknown entity. Instead, you would rather us not take a radical approach, and either weather the storm which will only lead to one of two conclusions.
1. Server continues to lose players because they are tired of being hacked, and some of those players might associate the experience to our clan because it seems to only happen in our server for some players, meanwhile we keep paying into a losing process.
2. The server somehow remains popular, but hackers continue to invade the server and make things difficult for all players, thus our clan gets tagged as a possible cheat clan or we are ok with whats going on and therebye do nothing.
Either way, [KGB] Clan loses both money and integrity all for the sake of the publisher. Eph that, thats not who we are and we should not have to be labled as such.
Thank you for your topic with above subject. I'm completely agree with you because game in such way getting annoying.
It become normal practice that you meet 2 or 3 texture glitch players in NE Airport on each and every server, who can kill you through textures on approaches. And it becomes normal with map users, speed hacks and the latest - brand new stuff - invisibility.
We are group of 16 players who are in game constantly and almost daily. Most of us are playing since the beginning of the year. We've encountered constantly with same cheaters/hackers during last 3-4 days. Several people has been undressed during their run
(We were trying to escape from 2 hackers).
What are you writing is true and all of us can Sing their names under your petition. We are all understand that the game is on Alpha stage. And we're all really looking forward that developers will do something with all this cheaters and hackers.
P.S. Last days we have spent on testing 0.45 version and still...we've had some hackers encounters. Now, we dont have good game atmosphere at all. If its not going to be fixed and security will stays on the same level we'll suspend our play in DayZ for unknown period of time.
Cheers.
Andrey
Whatever, the amount of active players will be reduced significantly by the time, and that's actually bad news for this game, every early access game needs a lot of players to test it.
This hacking level has reached a higher game risk and should be considered as a breaking bug, besides the rubberbanding.
I think the complaints will increase by now, and I guess they're totally justified
So I support you on that developers would be better engaged in protection against cheaters than the content of the game.Pacifist friend, you are a representative of management please convey that cheaters, honest people to play just not fun because people like cheaters discourage all like going to the game.
If so, and will continue, a lot of people just will not play the game ruled by cheaters. From what has been said above, not only me, but many other players, not you better improve protection against cheaters in the first place, and then add content.
If that excuse Google transliteration.
As for those of you who think what we are being too drastic, I personally don't think you're as vested into the game as much as some of us are. The $170.00 a month we are paying for two servers adds up and since we have not asked the community to donate yet, that comes out of our clan members pockets . None of us wants to pay for a server that we cannot go in and play the game properly without getting ransacked by cheaters. Although you may see some of us still playing from time to time, we will no longer be hosting servers, especially not until the game is fixed.
