I like PvE Co-op.... Is this game something I might enjoy?

So, I mainly enjoy PvE co-op (or solo) game play. I recently have played a LOT of state of decay, and am really enjoying that game, but its not very big or terribly deep. I would love t play a larger game with a lot more to explore and do, but most of them are online only, and a lot of the gamers are, from what I understand, very annoying and trollish most of the time.

Is there a game that I might play thats a bit more PvE oriented? Can I get this and make my own server for friends and myself only? I'll admit, I've only really looked at the game store page, and a few other games like it, but most of what I hear online is about trolls and people similarly picking on new players or other things like that, and I don't deal with those kinds of people well.

This game is an open sandbox and is whateaver you - and others, make of it. There is noprotection from pvp right now, but you can arange your activities to minize that chance.

Right now there are no private hives, so no private servers. But once private hvies are implemented, then yes you can get your own server and limit access to it to make the game exactly they type of experience you want it to be.

This game is going to be unlike any other game you have played when it is done. :)

The game is more PvP oriented than anything if your in a group you probably spend most of your time fighitng other people.

At this stage of development, it's fairly PvP "focused," as there's very few other things to do.
Read the roadmap, it should give you some hints on when to buy the game.

There are no private servers as now and nothing to discourage PvP (Zombies are ♥♥♥♥ and slow ect, easy loot) If you wanna support the game's development and enjoy a discounted price (Will be higher when the game is released) then I suggest you buy now. You will notice that the game is currently lacking in features, but the updates are bring in more and more good content. Make sure your PC is suitable and remember the game is still in development, it's not finished and won't be for awhile.

It's not orientated on anything but survival. But there will be Pvp deterrants like blood on hands from looting bodies, possibly grimaces, and better zombies.

most people kill you on sight. shame really because i find it so much more enjoyable when theres some witty conversation between some armed guy and my unarmed self. So nope. you wont have much fun here. Get rust and run around on the 200+ player servers and enjoy the random encounters. This is just a i see someone and shoot game atm

Based on what Rocket has said in the past, no. PVE only and Singleplayer will never be added.

Well, those of us that like PvE would disagree. I like the idea behind this game, but the players are what make things a chore for me in cases like this.

There is no PVE, there is no CO-OP with out having RL friends to join you. there are servers full of people who are either too scared of you so they shoot you on sight. Or they are the kind who like to cause you problems and kill you for fun. There is no inbetween.
