Drinking from Rivers, Streams and Pools of Water.

Anyone else notice we can no long drink from Water sources that are away from the coast? I know we can still drink from Wells.

Nope. Not that you should anyway since drinking from those sources without purification tablets could make you sick

It still possible to do that. You might have to go in first person and crouch to do it though.

Then they should give us the option to Drink and let us take my chances. Or let me fill my Watter Bottle/Canteen so I can use those Water Purification Tablets we find all over.


I am in stable. Months ago we could drink from most sources of water.

ya i have tried to stay away from drinking from them just because the fact you would need water purifaction tablets so i didnt want to get in the habbit of it then one day all of a sudden i get sick

Niether have I but my buddy did get sick after drinking from a pond

Streams and Rivers should have zero to a very low chance of getting sick if it is away from any town. But close to a town should be higher. A pools of water should give a high chance of getting sick.

In stable I drank from a pond and got sick. Well, it never actually said I was sick, but about 10min later I started to run and everything got all wavey and weird like I was crazy dehydrated or something.

Uh no. It's not about the town's polluting the water. Unless you're drinking from a glacier all streams and rivers carry bacteria that you don't want in your body.

There is a very small chance you can get sick from it atm. Once deceases are turned on it will be more dangerous to do.

As for being near towns dosnt realy mater. Animals will contaminate water aswell so it dosnt realy matter.

Crouch and First person drink, MY issue is when soaked affects your charcter . I hope they change it that you have to walk almost into the lake/river to drink :P, If not everyone dies of colds ,pheumoia / heart attacks :(

wierd, I drank from a river a week ago, and now I can´t do that anymore. I crouched and used the first player view and everything. My theory is that the hands have to be empty, but there seems to be a bug now that wont let me remove anything from my hands =)
