CIggarettes?
Seems odd I know, but hear me out. Say a newspawn finds a pack of cigs and a useable lighter (which would have many other uses), by smoking one they could sedate hunger and gain a steadier aim for a set amount of time, however heres the catch. The more ciggarettes the character smokes, the more reliant they become on them. Without them, the aim begins to shake more, loss of breath whilst sprinting and so forth. I just think it might be a neat little mechanic that would keep players scavenging for more than just beans and bullets. What do you guys think?

Is there already beer in the game? It just doesn't do anything yet. The Rasputin stuff. Also I kind of like the idea of drugs in the game. They wouldn't even need to add a lighter, they already have matches

that's about as useful as the "lager" in the game.... how many people actually drink the beer? I have yet to drink one... what's the point? it doesn't do anything for "Me".

We already have books, so something to drink/smoke while reading sounds good to me.

I like the idea of an item that adds a temporary buff but possibly a negative long-term buff. Idk if it would be cigarettes really, it doesn't even have to be a drug necessarily

Cigarettes mentally make you feel less hungry. But you still need food. No cigs pls.

Why not coke? You can run faster, do more damage with melee weapons and get less damage.

I have no issue with cigarettes being included but I dont see how that could be realitically implemented.

Im a real life smoker but I get no "buffs" from it except for a higher chance of Cancer.

If they were included it should be purely cosmetic IMHO

Dunno if you've ever played Lord of the Rings Online, but...

They have an emote(/smoke), to which your character pulls out the long hobbit pipe, and periodically puffs on it. My main use for it was to utilize it as an AFK emote. That's how others knew I was doing something else at the time...usually stepping out for a smoke. :)

So...for something like that....and/or for ambience.
