Fireplace fire in house is useless
I put 15 pieces of firewood in a house fireplace. It only burned for like 50 seconds.... I am wet and I stayed cold and wet while standing/crouching as close to the fire as possible. This is while playing version 58.129488. Wow....

you add wood as it burns away. if you put it in the inventory slots of the fire it only rots away
I've had some issues with fire in this update but have always been able to dry off whether it was a ground fire or one of the house fireplaces. The wood did go up in smoke real fast but it seemed like the heat continued to radiate for a long time. Maybe a log out and back in?
Ultimately get a raincoat, Gorka or I think a fireman's jacket to be able to ignore rain effects.

nah geta dress, only thing waterproof for real..
--...u have to make the firplace, usually lite it, then you can add up to 4 pieaces to the already existing wood, i never dry off from the house fires either, if you craft a rock fire place it covers the light really well and you can take it on the go..4 slots isnt that bad.

I had it maxed out on wood, 3 slots of 5 pieces each. burns same as if you dont add any wood.

Firewood,,, I chopped..... with my axe.......4 trees worth...... firewood takes up 4 slots in fireplace, you can stack 5 pieces in each of the 3 4-slot positions. so 15 pieces of wood burned just as quickly as if I placed only one piece in in.
