How good is the SKS compared to M4's?

SKS = only 10 bullets, one scope available vs. M4 has up to 60 bullets mags, multiple scopes available, and attachable bipod. that said i use the SKS only when i cant find anything else, and need to carry some kind of protection.

M4 is definitely outta competition but sks is a fanstastic gun. No way to compare these two weapons.

Sks = ammo and weapon found during an hour.
M4 = 1 week to find the weapon and 1 othe week to find scope, mags and decent amount of ammo, to finally get rekt by a sniper at helicrash (or you are a damn serverhoper ♥♥♥)

That. If you plan on staying alive for any amount of time, you want to be sure that you can readily find lots of ammo

M4 = KOS / CS-GO / COD squeakers that need 60 bullets mags, multiple scopes, and attachable bipod to play the game and stay alive.

SKS = Players that need 10 bullets ( at a time ), one scope to play the game and stay alive.

Plus like said above SKS's and ammo is easy to find unless you want to run around for hours starving to death to find the "cool" M4 gun that is only good for spray and pray, only to come in here and complain how the "game is broken" and "unplayable" when they are hard to find.

I totally agree it takes alot more skill to use an sks..... Boom!!!!

SKS is more easy to find, then all you have to do is kill a player with an m4. Presto, you now have an m4 and hundreds of ammo, and probably a few infinite mags.

all in all any gun that dosnt require you to spend dayz looking for it will be better than the m4 if you want an auto weapon just grab one of the 3 ak varients personaly i find semi auto and bolt actoin more lethal when i have to shoot at people that said the m4 is still a good gun but its just not every one cup of tea

winchester is a great gun personal fav but it isnt very easy to find tho it is still easier than m4

You'll probably find 30+ SKS, and hundreds of rounds, and stripper clips, before you find one M4.

Given the ease in which SKS ammo and attatchments can be found, that, in my mind, makes it a better deal.

In my experience, you will miss more shots, more times with the M4, than you will with the SKS. Appart from which, the M4 is such an over rated weapon now, that it is almost unbelievable.

There are several weapons available now, which I would take over the M4, any day of the week, including the MP5, UMP.45, AK 101, AKM and AK 74.

I honestly do not understand what the average gamers fascination with the M4 is.

Does the SKS have a bayonet? I wonder if they'll ever add bayonet animations for the rifles, or rifle melee attacks. Just makes having a rifle that much more effective if you can hit someone with the stock or stab them with a bayonet.

The last time that I used the SKS, I think it did have a Bayonet, but it was such a long time ago since I used it, that I honestly cannot remember.

I only ever really used a bayonet for opening tins of Beans with anyway, to be honest.

Would be great if they get those animations in, but if they do that for rifles I think it would need a pistol whip animation too.
