imposible to play for bad connection

i have 800mb of internet and i play in official servers with 30-40 ping but i always have lag and the red icon of bad connection its imposible to play like that somebody is having the same problem?? what can i do??

one would think that just because there is good numbers that their connection is just as stable. between you and a server, fluctuation is a thing.

That does not explain his exprience.
We all get fluctuations, but the equipments betwin you and the server is suposed to deal with it. otherwise we wouldnt be able to do what we do on the net.

As usual my friend -
1- Check firewalll, if u have one, disable it and test
2- if its not the firewall, try if possible to connect your pc to a different network just for test, if it still has lag, then the problem is inside your PC and not your connection.

Also try to do ping -t
go to Run , tpe CMD
then do ping [serverIP] -t

And see if something changes in the latency.

are you using a WiFi connection by chance?
sadly DayZ is a bit touchy regarding packet loss, thus an Ethernet connection is always recommended.

When was the last time you did internet speed test? What is your up and down speed? Just because you are paying for 800 mb doesn't mean you are getting that. And wifi can be very unstable and inconsistent.

Its not internet at fault but servers. Official ones are of garbage quality and also without active administration. Go play somewhere else - community hosts more than 98% of all servers for this game. BI keeps their own for appearances.

Yeah, don't do this.

There is no reason to "disable" your windows firewall. When you installed the game, windows should have asked you to allow connections .. if you had answered NO, you would not be getting ANY connection at all to any DayZ Servers.

IF you did have an issue with your Firewall, the MOST you would need to do, is to look at the programs listed in your firewall settings, and delete the entries for DayZ and/or Battleye .. next time you launch the game, Windows will ask you again if you want to allow DayZ and/or Battleye to access the internet.

i have RED icon on every server that starts with 1200
like DE 1280
DE 1290
on other servers is fine no lag no error at all

exact same here, seems as if dayz has an issue, also happening on community servers for me

Go to Steam in the Left Corner, then to Settings. Then go to "In Game" and change "serverbrowser-pings per Minute to a lower number". U can do the lowest. I had the same problems but after that it worked.

I was having the same issue, but turns out it wasnt my internet, Id installed it on the wrong HDD which has a way to low of a read/write.

I swapped it into a SSD, all lag and hitching went away.
Highly suggest putting it on one if its not
