- Go to your Steam Library, on the top left, click where it says "Games" to open the drop down menu, check the box for "Tools", then scroll down the list and find "DayZ Server" .. Click Install.
Once you have the Server installed, you need to Edit the included ServDZ.config file, and create a text document called ServerStart.BAT (a batch file) .. you can find tutorials for how to edit and create these 2 files on a YouTube channel called "Scalespeeder Gaming".
Once you have an understanding of how to get a vanilla server up and running, you can use the same YouTube channel to learn how to add Mods to your server. (Namalsk is a Map Mod).
Feels like the devs make playing single player arbitrarily difficult.
Like.. who's business is it if you want to roam this huge barren world with just you and the infected?
thanks for telling him I hate having to go in a server with a bunch of this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in there- world those type of server are not fun for me i just want an adventure and get to know the map
I just searched and within 5 min i found 4 servers running Namalsk
with less than 7 mods and 2 with no mods except the map.
