Every Server takes me to DayZed.gg server. What gives?

I have something really interesting going on with my Dayz game as of late. I'll choose to play on another named server, however it always loads me back into DayZed.gg's server. I noticed that the list of Mods are all the same for an ungodly amount of servers to choose from. What exactly is going on here? Why does it keep taking me right back to the previous character if I choose the same map? If I choose to play on another location map, like Livonia, a notification map comes up to let me know that I have to use the transportation stations around the map to "transport" to Livonia or kill my character. I is VERY annoying and this has just recently happened to me. Is DayZed.gg to blame?
Any help would be most appreciated guys.

idk I would verify files and/or reinstall. I'm assuming this is a persistent issue?

Actually I filtered the IP and found out that those were spoof accts. There's about 40-70 servers that ALL have the same IP addresses. All going to DayZed.gg Weird why that's a thing.

yep, they are fake servers with fake pop, you can see on battle metrics website the ports are different but only 2 different IPS

That server seems sketch af... This thing with fake servers seems like spam to funnel players; secondly their request of having public steam accounts when there's no real need for this other than data collection and reduced security to their players...

I steer away from DayZed.gg

And what would the Devs be able to do about a server owner who sets up their own Hive, with multiple maps connected via "portals" allowing you to server hop on their community servers?

User Error is not a Game problem, and Community servers are not the domain of the Developers.

This. DayZed.gg is a cancerous mod. I cannot find new servers to play becuase I don't want ot use this mod but 99% of my server list seems to be from 2 IPs of servers linked to this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mod that only change their port.

The devs need to add a feature to the launcher to block certain IPs and/or MODs from the search...

This is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous. I didn't buy the game to play ONE mod.

Yup it's fake servers with fake server populations to funnel you into their main server. Idk why it's allowed. I thought I was playing on a 100/127 pop server for hours before realizing there were only like 17 people in it. LAME

This should be a very easy solution to implement. A server ban/block/hide button would be great and wouldn't require extra moderation on the devs end.

But yeah, servers like these have bad reps on other games. Rising Storm Vietnam's malware riddled "Mega Servers" come to mind

For all I know the fake servers on here are doing the same thing

Also for those looking for real high-pop US servers I can recommend "The Lab Main" as well.

I use https://www.battlemetrics.com/servers/dayz and compare the server count from the official launcher to the website.

9/10 times if the numbers match then they're the real numbers.

i was about to say the same thing as doc devil if you check the IPs/pop on battlemetrics it makes it easier to tell which ones are fake

slightly unrelated but also related to the devs doing nothing about this is all the fake chinese and russian servers with fake pop which probably infect your computer with malware

Yes f*** this Dayzed.gg server. I was playing on that server on Sakhal but then I realized its just a stupid server for basebuilding (NOGOVO town is just filled with bases every 4 building). You are fighting kids that hide and cap loot. Took me like 2h to figure out how to join another Sakhal server because there is like 15 server linking to that same f rtard server. Had to check every mod list to be sure there is no Dayzed on it. Sooooooo stupid.
