I actually tried to do what the OP asked last night using an
old 48 band EQ i had lying around and was able to identify the correct
"Bands". While it can 100% be done with an EQ it was a bit of a faff and
not at all practical. I can't see any button to press or parameter
to adjust in settings, so, no "easy" fix for the OP.
Personally, like you i don't have a problem with the audio so...
Edit: I ended up using a 24 channel mixer AND the EQ.
Have fun.
Ok, but the glock is 10 times freaking louder than this sporter thing.
Just sorry we could not find a reasonable solution.
Edit: I'd liken it to using the color/contrast controls on your Monitor.
It's not as easy as you think and,, requires expensive equipment.
When i said "Not practical" i meant it literally.
Even as a cheat.
Besides, isn't that exactly what "peltars" do?
I don’t have much in the way of hardware…..a 31-band eq, BBE Sonic Maximizer laying in the closet and a whatever’s in my rack for my guitar rig which is hair a power conditioner, tuner and wireless.
I messed with mixing for a long time but mostly in-the-box with software.
I have a good solution for OP, not the only one using it and it works for me, my ears don't get killed anymore when I play Dayz and it also helps hearing footsteps better.
(I'm sorry this is the case because I also dislike this in a way, but I'm not gonna ruin my hearings for a game or to feel more immersed)
I used a software called 3appes sound lock, you can find it easily on google, it's a free software but propetary (it's not sketchy at all and it occupies 10mb<)
Practically you can set a limit to your dbs, if your volume goes above that, this program suppresses the really loud noises over those high dbs you set, it works really nicely.
It's like Loudness Equalization in your windows audio settings but not the same.
LMAO.
Now that it comes into my mind, if you have a good audio driver or headphones, YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE this Setting (Loudness Equalization) in Control / Audio / Enhancement (Windows settings, No External Program needed)
Enable that and move your slides to the more close and lower for the sounds, it suppresses every loud sound and amplifies little sounds like footsteps.
ANOTHER GREAT SOLUTION I use is also Equalizer APO, but it requires a long tutorial to set it up for your specific headphones!!!
Yeah, i used to do the whole "band" thing. I actually played Bass
but ended up setting up the deck for Gigs.
I wanted to do it properly so i did an Audio Engineering Dip
Part time. I don't really do it anymore these days so most
of my equipment is pretty old.
I have 2 old decks, a 24 and a 36 track and i can loan a 48.
I have several old EQ's a spectrum analyser a "cro", most of
what you would expect.
I miss it but I don’t miss the part where it had become more of a chore. I’ve dabbled in mixing for probably over 20 years but really just a “bedroom warrior”.
Sorry. I’ve seriously derailed from topic!
When i say old, I mean old.. I'm retired now.
That's why i have so much time and money to spend playing games.
I still run valve amps for sound clarity Ha ha.
I’ve got about 20 more years before I can even think about retirement. Probably be dead before then. 😂
