Just HOW loud do you have it?
I just started playing the game and the loudness of the different guns seem to differ a lot. The sporter gun has a normal sound (is it some air compression gun, maybe?), and the pistol and the shotgun and another weapon me and my friend were firing had exploding my ears....
In Arma 3 the shots sound very similar, but better and in Vigor the shots sound good AND are mixed well with the other sounds. Only the mortar strike is a bit too loud there.
Arma 3’s gunshots always sounded super quiet and thin to me. Just tiny little snaps.
Ever shoot a gun IRL? It’s effing loud.
That’s another part about this game that just nails it. I want my gunshots to blast my ears out. I ain’t shooting that often anyway…..
You could "compress" the audio track and make it more bearable
without loosing much of the ambient sound.
Compressing and limiting may help keep the loud stuff quieter but would also make quiet stuff (ambience, footsteps etc) louder. But more balanced. I just personally like the guns to be super loud like they are. Every shot fired feels like 😈
