Seriously? This game barely feels playable now.
Movement is abysmal, not really sure why turning my head 30 degrees feels so jank. Almost like you have resistance or something now? It's weird. Zombies seem to be moving very strange too. Almost 5 days with no formal fix to your launcher when this exact problem has happened before? It feels like the community members work on this game more than the devs profiting from it. These "changes" feel so forced upon the community. Who wanted any of this?

It is pretty annoying I get this weird snap too after vaulting, and movement at times is janky.
its one of the known issues. from the 1.26 patchnotes:

The server browser might not display servers - a fix is in the works - THIS CAN BE SOLVED BY RESETTING FILTERS
Respawning from unconscious might result in disconnect from the server
Weather can be desynced for players after server start - a fix is in internal testing
Thawing frozen items in cookware is too slow - a fix is in internal testing
Heavy Metal Poisoning Screen effect is present after respawn - a fix is in internal testing, can be solved by reconnect
Vehicles or boats behave weirdly next to rocks (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T183992, https://feedback.bistudio.com/T183617) - a fix is in internal testing
Character is stuttering while passing doors
Camera twitches after vaulting over fences/walls (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T185237)
Sakhal map doesn't have translated name and description - a fix is in internal testing
Alarm sound of Warhead bunker entrance can play permanently after server restart
Some ice sheets cannot be climbed on
Tents can clip into ice sheets after being packed
Boats and players in them are not getting any damage in crashes
Small stutters can happen when walking/sprinting into the sea
Climbing on boat, especially with no or low stamina, can cause animation glitches
Some food can clip into fireplaces and ovens when added to cooking slots - a fix is in internal testing
Inconsistencies with the cfgweather.xml (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T183730) - a fix is in internal testing
Thawed snow area around fireplaces is not visible at night
PC server descriptions do not support new line characters - a fix is in internal testing

theres probably a hotfix within the next two weeks.

Check your game video settings .. The update changed view distance or something.
- Once reset, I have no issues with "janky" movement or stutters.

Aside from the glitches where you need to log in and out, and I've run into a few since the update, try tweaking your graphics settings a little. Some changes have been made. I haven't noticed what you've described with the head turning, but it might be subtle. I'll watch for it.

The zombies need reworked and have for a long time. A friend of mine and I were beating one just yesterday and both of us watched it vanish. Then it came running down the steps of the PD. We've also been having problems with the official launcher and cleared that up by not using it. (Here we go again with that one.)

It feels like the community has done more work on this game than the devs because they have. If it weren't for the PC modding community, DayZ would have been DeadZ a long time ago.

The weather changes outright suck in my opinion. They're having adverse effects on maps other than Namalsk v2.0...er Sikhal. So's the inventory change. Although I don't mind that one overall, it's making collecting the necessary items to go through the Passage in Deadfall a general pain in the backside. Just tedious, not fun or immersive. Tedious.

I play the game and want to see it improve. But I have to take occasional breaks from it when the glitches get too irritating. It's beyond me why DayZ and BI draw so much praise beyond what they did do well. It would be nice if BI would fix what needs fixed. But after all this time, I'm not holding my breath. It's a frellin' shame.

Play the game for 15 mins, you'll see them. They're all pretty noticeable. Although with 3000 hours maybe I just feel it more intensely.

A lot of servers are having issues with this new dlc. The game launcher is broken. There's no point in me explaining why when all you'd have to do is load the launcher up.

Thank you, I will try this and pray it works. Hate to see this game treated so badly by people who are supposed to care for it.

it's guys like this who you call on in times of great need. Thank you, Roy. Your input was everything we needed and more. The game is poorly optimised and the devs no seem intent on profit over anything else so you're seeing the result of that. it's a shame because I once enjoyed day z but it got so annoying having a big grass circle for a few hundred metres and then no grass any further so you could see people laying down etc. i wish they'd have made the game better rather than making new maps.

This! I've only just noticed myself that video settings had been altered with the new patch. The settings had dropped from highest possible to lows in some cases.

And personally - yes I wanted a new map with new and different dynamics compared to Chernarus/Livonia.

I am sure there will be a list of things players wanted some of which are mentioned above or in other topics on the front page here. None of those ideas seem unreasonable to me, some of them may not be feasible with the current engine possibly, but there again I've not had any of the issues listed by the OP, or other posters either.

talk is easy, just like making a game, so maybe make your own then ya?

1000's of games on Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo. They work perfectly fine. Why does dayz get a pass on horrendous mechanics that barely work? Just because I don't know how to code a game does not excuse the seeming lack of effort from the people who've studied this line of work and profit from it.

I wish I could post video evidence of what I am experiencing lol. Very possible that my problems are being caused by unwanted changes of settings, although I did play around with them yesterday to see if I could find something and nothing seemed to help. I will give an update to this thread at the end of the day, so I can test more servers and see if my problems are localized on certain maps/servers or if it really is because of this ridiculous head movement change.

Not to mention the ol' "games are hard to make" argument is rarely feasible for a game that's in early access. When money changes hands, some folks expect results.

I'd say if a dev doesn't have their entire game fairly well polished after more than a decade and know it inside and out, maybe they ought to be doing something else.

Meanwhile the playerbase (also known as 'the community') plays on. Strange behaviour for a game 'that barely work' (sic).

EDIT - seen your most recent post, good luck with your search, I've got nothing similar occurring so can't offer any solutions other than video settings. Sorry. I've removed some stuff, it's not helpful to argue the toss when you're looking for solutions after all.
