50 players is too much for Sakhal
Everyone spawns on a tiny strip of land up north, all the loot gets vacuumed immediately, there's no food, no guns. You need food and warm clothes to be able to go deeper into the map, but there's none.
It takes too long to get ready to go deeper, and by that time you're probably getting beaten to death by two hungry freshies with a shovel.

At 25-30 players tho... guns and clothes aplenty, can actually get geared and play the game, instead of playing Fist Fighting Simulator 2024.

This is as opposed to Chernarus, where I don't go on servers with les than 55 players and I can still barely meet anyone.

They will be, as soon as most ppl learn the optimal routes for gearing up.
That's already been figured out, just most people don't want to take the longer route ..
Take the north coast heading west, counter-clockwise around the island to the land bridge, then down the west coast of the peninsula
I took this route last night (the islands north of mainland that spawn the containers. Didn’t see a single ….. “thing” aside from a lighthouse and some dude built a base at the only house on the one island.

I had luck down at the south east island. But even then I had to check like 3-4 islands and only found a single “thing” but it had god-tier loot. Which I had to make the awful choice to just leave behind because I didn’t have things for the things.

Surely Wobo has a video about the spawn times of the dynamic containers?!

If they can get it bigger it will be perfect but it is like you say 50 players it is not playeble

I figure you guys are joking. The map can easily support 100 players. There are entire villages of buildings filled with loot near player spawns, and regular occurrences of houses and farms slightly further in.

On an active server of 60 players, you can maybe expect 3 or 4 players around spawn with literally dozens of buildings to poke around.

Loot around where you spawn for 5 mins.
Make a fire, get plus symbol.
Make torch, you can even use your starting t shirt if you don't need the storage space.
Head Inland. You have a good 15-20 mins easily before you need to make another fire and hopefully by then you have something to warm up/ cook.

Don't worry too much about food and water initially, just get moving inland, preferably south, and escape the bare knuckle boxing matches on the coast. No problem.

The remote shacks are often overlooked and have mosins, boxes of shotgun shells, hunting knives. A lot of the Infected seem to have canned food and drink on them. It's there if you know where to look.

Back to the OP's point... well no, not for me. I have found it very similar to a well played Cherno server - sometimes not much loot and too many other players beating you to death with a tee shirt cos they can.

I've not bumped into too many players on Sakhal - given that I avoid them anyway.

The community is working out how to play the game on Sakhal; I wouldn't say it's easy to be fair, but what I like about some of the replies here is that some players are figuring out how to be lateral thinkers, and where to go to survive inland.

Whereas other players are working out how to play as bandits on those that hug the coast and the spawn points.

I spawned at Vostok by the way, not sure if that made my life easier.

The OP has raised a very interesting point... maybe we will see some subtle rebalancing of things now the game is fully released, or maybe this is what was intended all along.

I have survived in my current life for many days on Sakhal
by killing Infected and looting them for food items.
I'm getting a ton of food and drinks.I have not had to hunt, fish or
find a well. Personally i think it makes it too easy.
The cooking pots are pretty OP as well. i have found 4 this time around.

The whole time i have been carrying a fishing rod....
Just in case.
Never had to use it.

its not like 50 player spawn the same time so your argument is pointless

Disagree, during the first 3 days on the the official Sakhal servers they were
so packed there was a 15-20 long line to re join.
Also no one knew the map so we were all noobs croaking every 5 min.
so, the coast was literally full of Bambi's bangin around trying to figure
:shit: out.

Had no issues starting up on 50 player server.

Fishing is easy way to start off, especially when you can procure crafting materials from dead players.

It's big mistake to go in to the south-west peninsula early. There is no fresh water sources, scares shelters outside of the military bases and wolves roam the area.

So the map isn't that small now. So if you start in the far east and want to go to the big city (Petropavlovsk) or straight to the military peninsula (Burukan) in the west, you'll have to walk for a while. I once drove a car (Gunter/VW Golf) around the main island on the coastal road and it takes 25-30 minutes if you drive relatively fast.
Where I'm a bit disappointed are the smaller and larger islands around it, which you can only reach by boat, as there's hardly anything there except a house, ruins or lighthouses with low loot or just random military container spawns. From the point of view of the map creators, they could have been a little more creative and perhaps integrated a camp or something else somewhere. There aren't even animals on the islands.

A knife, a Cooking Pot full of water, rags, matches, and a tent .. What else do you need to get to the better gear? Why are you wasting time getting medium gear to go for higher gear? Just go for the higher gear. It's all temporary anyway.

To be fair, you don't even need to go to tier 4 for the "best" gear .. only the better guns (aside from Mil Containers) ..
Arguably, the best gear so far is a FireFighter set, with a Guilly hat and suit, padded or wool gloves, Hunter boots or assault boots and a ski mask .. All of which I've found before crossing the land bridge while skirting the north coast headed west.
- The higher tier military clothes, even the OMK sets, are Medium or High insulation, at best.

If you go to the peninsula unarmed then you are going to get killed by wolves if not by players. There are military bases that aren't in the peninsula and don't under estimate the value of weapon such as mosin and simply procure the better gear from dead players.

Whats the point to mindlessly run to the peninsula and hope that no one has ambush by the land bridge or in the peninsula itself. And then do it all over again?

I'm guessing you didn't see my other post .. Right above your reply.
If you follow the north coast west-ward, towards the peninsula, you will come across the highest insulation clothes, and guns, magazines, and tons of ammo .. except to get to the Bunker for an AKM or an AK silencer, you don't even need to go to the peninsula, but that is what the subject was when I made that original reply.
- You're the one saying that "It's a mistake" to go to the best gear too soon, making all kinds of assumptions about what gear you're able to collect along the north coast.

In my opinion, it's a waste of time and energy to go from the north coast southward, in to the harshest environment, the highest altitudes, coldest temps, with little to nothing, when you can run the coast, collect more than you need, and get to the best guns first.
- For that matter, most vehicle spawns are also along the north coast, so if you want a car to avoid all the wolves, you're gonna need to stick to the coast also.
You're entitled to your opinion, even if it is wrong.

There are barely any wolves and barely any players for the size of the map. This really isn't Namalsk. You could make the run from spawn to the bunker a dozen times and you'll maybe see one or two players. At most you'll just hear gunshots in the distance.

FWIW on a 60/60 server, I looted all 4 bunker doors by myself and didn't see another soul. Had anxiety at first but eventually I just pretended like I was alone and there was no issue.
