Official servers are all the same?

So I played Sakhal before and now I got on a chernarus server and got the progression what I looted in Sakhal...
Is that wanted? Isnt that kinda stupid? It would mean, people can easily farm their gear on Chernarus and swap to Sakhal and dominate easily lol

Also people can skip the hardship in the beginning of Sakhal and just get warm cloth etc. and then go back to Sakhal, full geared.
I hope thats a bug!?

because it's the public hive. your 1PP and 3PP characters can each swap between their respective official servers

I did not experience this last night. Of course, I was only able to play non-US servers due to the queues. Is this confirmed? If so I agree that's rather silly and defeats the purpose.

Yes its silly, because you can f.e. not even fish Salmon on Chernarus, but on Sakhal.
So if you got salmon and switch to Chernarus, you got it there xD Thats weird.
