Terroristic ghosts in Berezino

So I was chilling in Berezino, looking for loot etc. The weather was thunder and lightening / rain, and of course the sound effects and the realism in this game made everything really believable.

So, after a while I noticed there was a second 'thunder' type sound which kept playing randomly. It happened every 2-5 minutes and sounded like a huge bomb blast. I always thought it was some kind of thunder sound glitch, obviously with this game still being in alpha.

I get to the top of this block of flats where I can see virtually the whole of Berezino, when I hear the 'BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM' noise again. It sounds pretty close so I try to spot where the sound came from. I look towards these industrial buildings, and see a huge mushroom cloud of black.. Obviously some kind of bomb blast.

I head over to where the bomb blast was (because at this point I'm all geared up with weapons etc), I'm thinking it's possibly a player randomly trying to throw grenades (not sure if they exist on this game yet) or maybe there's a fuel tank / petrol station to blow up.

I get to where the bomb blast was and I found nothing. There's no damage to anything. There's no sign of any fuel tank or fuel station etc. There's definitely no players in the immediate facility as nothing has been looted. So I start looking around when 'BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM' I'm in the middle of another explosion. I can only see black and for about 10 seconds there's that type of invisible fire which existed on the mod (back in the days when lighting a camp fire would set the whole of Cherno on fire). Strangely though my character didn't die. There was no sort of reaction by my character, even though I'd clearly just been blown to hell.

I head out of Berezino - probably about 3/4km away, I can still hear the explosions. Each time I hear the explosion, you can see the mushroom type dust cloud appear from the same spot. It only seemed to happen when the weather was thunder / lightening which was very odd.

The only logical method of explaining what happened - GHOSTS. Ghosts with C4. It's definitely not a programming glitch.

Anyone else had this or something similar?

thats the gas station in berizino, it keeps exploding once someone shots it enough times

i hear it all the time when im there, someone shots it, it blows up and doesnt stop. Maybe, who knows i was playing on a high pop on Australian servers

Either gas station or someone was screwing with grenades.

The grenades use the gas station explosion as a place holder. Rumor has it only two spawn on a server at any given time and they're extremely rare, but server hoppers could easily gather dozens.
