DayZ melee weapons

Hello reader,

I'm curious to know that, what is your favourite melee weapon in DayZ and why?

There are few that i like a lot, like the hatchet, it's decent size and does lots of damage, has durability and has many uses and i like the hitting sound it makes.

Combat knife is good too because it's small and fast but if i'd have to choose one favourite, then that'll would be the baseball bat with barbed wire or nails, because it looks cool, is very durable and has good reach and like the hatchet, the hitting sound what the baseball bat does, is nice.

The sledgehammer, only because it can ONE HIT down a geared player!!!

Really? with the heavy attack i presume? Pickaxe had that kind of power too but i read that it was nerfed xD

Pickaxe always was my choice overall, but for fighting it will be a blade now, since damage output was changed. Smaller blade with enough reach.
