A few tips in here.
Good luck.
Basic game is very simple: youre supposed to find a map in game (paper version or free-standing). One can also find gps receiver which can be used along paper map to get right location if reading map is a problem. Each village has its name, its roadsign. Most commonly used to place yourself on a map. Finding yourselves and meeting will always be a work of chance; youll either spawn close to each other or not. Thats the gist of it.
Basebuilding needs location, a lot of tools and time. Its better to think about it after you meet and find a place you like. Then you use rope on shortsticks, add some wood, nails, metal wire and of course tools to lock it up.
Do whatever it takes to make it enjoyable to you. Running down the road for 3 hours just trying to find your buddy, not even knowing if you’re headed in the right direction kinda sucks when all you want to do is spawn together. But again that’s all part of the charm. If you both suicide at the same time, you should both spawn somewhat near each other.
Building a base or even a few walls takes some time and effort. You need all the right tools and resources. You’ll figure it out eventually. That’s all part of the beauty of the game - figuring things out.
I think you need a rope + sticks to create a “fence kit”…..this will start you on the path to making a wall or fence. I won’t say much more unless you realllllllly are lost.
Good luck survivor! And cherish the early days when you’re lost and struggling. There’s something magical about this game and once you get deeper in, some of that seems like it wears off. Still it’s one of the only games that’s held my almost complete attention for over a year.
Yeah, but as you learn the game and importantly the map
"grouping" up will become less of a thing.
I got a LOT of hours playing in a team and after a while
it's like waling around your actual neighbourhood.
You don't even think of a map anymore because you will know
exactly where to go and you will be able to "Gear up" on the way.
Like everything else.. It comes down to practice.
