Yeah, the lack of storage is kinda
immersion" breaking".. Not to mention a PITA.
- I made a mod (private fn) to add the jerrycan and backpack slots, as well as 50 slots on-board inventory, but without Bohemia source files, I can't add the Proxies to make the jerrycan and backpack visible.
After the mini patch last week, I have been seeing tents + barrels in the sky ALL OVER. And a LOT of boats have spawned in UPSIDE DOWN, and do not right themselves after a server reset.
I've been sinking these boats thinking they would respawn on the next reset, is this accurate?
I hear you, but I am currently trapped on the main islands :) Haven't found a boat for a while...
They don't, sadly. Unless ruined. So finding one in a spawn site is becoming increasingly unlikely...
I figured this was to stop it being too easy to setup up a base on the islands... A boat with loads of storage would make it much less of an expedition... Does seem a bit silly to have zero space, though...
I'd like one of your boats, please :)
I thought that was a thing, boats despawning when there is no survivors around it for 300m or maybe more meters? I don't remember... however, for a specified amount of time, they should despawn if not touched and no one is around, that should be the point.
If that's not the case then that's sh1t.
I only found one boat in officials until now, and haven't even managed to drive it, it just spawned there, and it wasn't there the other day I played, so surely either one broke in the map or it despawned and it got respawned in the stock spawn point.
Oh, okay, I didn't see that video. As I understand it, they are like vehicles. They exist wherever they are until 'ruined'... That's been my experience, anyway.
At about the 7 minute mark:

They should add that. I was thinking "can't you just attach a bag to it?"
